    Stock market today: The smallest stocks rally, but losses for Big Tech pull Nasdaq and S&P 500 lower

    NEW YORK (AP) — Wall Street’s split widened, as smaller stocks and other formerly unloved areas of the market rose up while superstar Big Tech stocks gave back more of their huge gains. Most stocks climbed Thursday after a surprisingly strong report on the U.S. economy raised hopes for profits at smaller companies. Continued weakness for a pocket of Big Tech stocks including Nvidia and Microsoft weighed on the S&P 500, however, and the index fell 0.5% after a healthy gain from earlier in the day

    U.S. crypto exchange Coinbase adds three board members, including OpenAI executive

    U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has added three new members to its board of directors, including an executive from ChatGPT-maker OpenAI, as the company steps up its efforts to sway U.S. crypto policy, Coinbase told Reuters on Thursday. The new members are Chris Lehane, a member of the executive team at OpenAI; Paul Clement, former U.S. Solicitor General under President George W. Bush; and Christa Davies, chief financial officer for Aon and a board member for Stripe and Workday.

    Lululemon drops over Citi downgrade, price target cuts
