    Hewlett Packard Enterprise was spun out of Hewlett Packard Inc. (now known as HP Inc.) in November 2015. Hewlett Packard Enterprise provides core IT gear including high-performance computing and mission critical servers; industry standard servers; storage and networking gear; and financing services. In 2017, HPE spun off its IT outsourcing, BPO, and applications services unit and its noncore software business.   • Market Update: ETN, ITGR, HPE

    The major indices are higher at midday following the key inflation report this morning. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note is 4.25%. Oil is at $69 per barrel. Bitcoin is back over $100,000. Inflation is showing its stubborn side, but today's numbers were expected. CPI inched up to 2.7% for November compared to 2.6% in October. Core CPI was 3.3% in November, the same pace as the month before. This indicator is on the Federal Reserve's page one ahead of its rate meeting next week.
