FDA approves injectable version of Bristol Myers Squibb's cancer drug Opdivo

(Reuters) -The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said on Friday that it has approved an injectable version of Bristol Myers Squibb's blockbuster cancer drug, Opdivo. Opdivo is part of a class of drugs called PD-1 inhibitors, which enhance the immune system's ability to fight cancer by removing its natural brakes. Like other PD-1 drugs such as Merck's Keytruda, it was previously available through infusions and patients received it via an intravenous drip in a health office.

US crude, product inventories likely fell last week: Reuters poll

U.S. crude oil and fuel stockpiles are expected to have fallen last week, an extended Reuters poll showed on Tuesday. Five analysts polled by Reuters estimated on average that crude inventories fell by about 1.9 million barrels in the week to Dec. 20. Crude inventories fell by 934,000 barrels to 421 million barrels in the week ended Dec. 13, the EIA said, compared with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 1.6-million-barrel draw.
