JPMorgan COO to step down in June: Jamie Dimon's succession in focus
JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) CEO Jamie Dimon's succession plans, or lack thereof, are in focus after president and COO Daniel Pinto announced he will step down in June and fully retire in 2026. Puck founding partner William D. Cohan sits down with Julie Hyman and Josh Lipton to discuss what investors can expect from Dimon's succession. "I don't think Jamie Dimon really wants to go anywhere," Puck says, adding the CEO looks "like a man who was very comfortable, wasn't anxious to go anywhere, wasn't giving any indication whatsoever that he had chosen a successor." "Yes, it's very important that he... solve the bank's problems ... But he's he's not going to live forever," Puck notes, calling that succession is "a hugely important decision." Puck has previously told Yahoo Finance that finding a successor is one of the "most important thing[s]" a chief executive can do.
