    The markets have pivoted at midday and lost their earlier momentum higher. This despite a boost this morning on favorable inflation data. The Dow is almost 1% lower while the Nasdaq is clinging to positive territory. Inflation cooled by a significant pace last month. Headline CPI slowed to 2.8%, for February versus 3.0% in January. Core CPI decelerated to 3.1% compared the 3.3% the month before. The trade wars look to escalate with the EU and Canada retaliating with their own tariffs. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note is at 4.29%. Oil is at $67 per barrel. Bitcoin is near $81,000.
