Nico Collins (knee) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.

Collins played through the knee injury with no issues last week. We fully expect him to do so again in Week 5 against the Ravens. Collins has had a quiet start to the 2025 season for his lofty standards. He is averaging 4.5 catches for 65 yards per game, down from 5.7 for 84 in 2024. Collins gets a good matchup versus a struggling Baltimore defense this week, giving him one more shot at a WR1 ranking.

HOU OFFENSIVE GUARD (SUB) #61

Texans signed OL Jarrett Kingston off the Panthers practice squad.

Kingston will replace Cam Robinson on the active roster. The 2024 sixth-rounder was active for seven games with the Panthers last year, but had just one offensive snap. It means he has less negative NFL tape in 2024-2025 than most Texans offensive linemen.

Teans HC DeMeco Ryans said Joe Mixon (foot) won’t be activated from the NFI list yet.

KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson reported, “It will be much longer, if at all, for Mixon to get back on the field this season.” In other words, things don’t seem great. Mixon is officially eligible to return from the NFI list after missing the required four games to start the season. Mixon reportedly had a challenging rehab this offseason, which has understandably slowed his return to the field. Until the Texans announce the decision to open Mixon’s 21-day return window, we can safely assume he’ll be sidelined for the foreseeable future.
Denico Autry

Texans HC DeMeco Ryans said the team has designated DE Denico Autry (knee) to return from injured reserve.

Autry now has 21 days to return to the field. The veteran pass rusher totaled three sacks in 10 games for the Texans last season and will likely serve as a rotational piece for the defense once he returns to action. Per PFF, Autry saw 226 of his 314 defensive snaps come in pass rush situations, setting the expectation for what we should expect with his return.

CLE OFFENSIVE TACKLE (SUB) #74

Texans traded OT Cam Robinson to the Browns.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the two teams will also swap late-round picks in 2027 to complete the deal. Robinson became expendable following the emergence of rookie second-rounder Aireontae Ersery, who has been locked in as the team’s starting left tackle since Week 2, while Robinson hasn’t played an offensive snap since Week 1. Robinson’s arrival in Cleveland gives them an immediate option to start at left tackle in place of Dawand Jones, who was placed on injured reserve last week.

Jayden Higgins caught his only target for 24 yards and a touchdown in Houston’s Week 4 win against the Titans.

He only played 31 snaps compared to Xavier Hutchinson’s 48, but even with only one target he did more than Hutchinson. We haven’t seen any sign of the torch being passed and this reception came deep in the fourth quarter. Don’t take this as a sign that Higgins is making a move. He’s still effectively splitting time with both Nico Collins (when resting) and Hutchinson outside.

Christian Kirk caught 3-of-4 targets for 20 yards in Houston’s Week 4 win against the Titans.

With the Texans never trailing, they simply stayed away from Kirk. His best gain on the day was a catch where he appeared to be uncovered for a first down. We can expect enough throws against the Ravens to keep Kirk on the WR4 line, but perhaps this is a lesson to not chase Kirk into games we expect Houston to win.
Dalton Schultz

Dalton Schultz caught 5-of-6 targets for 30 yards in Houston’s Week 4 win against the Titans.

Schultz has not managed more than eight targets or more than 66 yards since Week 16 of the 2023 season. It continues. He’ll be a TE2 at best against the Ravens in Week 5.
Nico Collins

Nico Collins caught 4-of-6 targets for 79 yards in Houston’s Week 4 win against the Titans.

Is this the end of the Collins WR1 Era? Collins had five games over 10 targets last year despite five games on the shelf. (And another essentially missed because of in-game injury.) He averaged 10.8 targets per game before he was hurt and 8.2 in his non-Week 18 game down the stretch. He has one game over 10 targets this year and needed a 50-yard blown coverage touchdown to turn it into real fantasy value. Now he’s heading into a Ravens game in Week 5 where we’d call him more of a WR2 for fantasy purposes.
Nick Chubb

Nick Chubb rushed 13 times for 47 yards in Houston’s Week 4 win against the Titans.

TD-or-bust FLEX. That’s the upside at this point after Chubb lost the snap battle to Woody Marks 40-30 in Week 4. Chubb wasn’t running poorly, he just doesn’t have Marks’ speed or tackle-breaking ability at 29 years old, coming off a few major injuries. Chubb won’t even be a recommended FLEX against the Ravens in Week 5.
