Analyst Report: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft
Bayer is a German healthcare and agriculture conglomerate. Healthcare provides close to half of the company's sales and includes pharmaceutical drugs (39% of total sales in 2024) as well as vitamins and other consumer healthcare products (13% of total). The firm's crop science business (49% of total) sells seeds, pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides, which was expanded through its 2018 acquisition of Monsanto.
RatingPrice TargetAnalyst Report: Tandem Diabetes Care, Inc.
Tandem Diabetes designs, manufactures, and markets durable insulin pumps for individuals with diabetes. The firm first entered this market in 2012 and has since introduced multiple generations of pumps leading to its current t:slim X2 device. The firm recently launched its smaller Mobi pump and continues to work on Tobi (a tubeless version of Mobi), and the Sigi tubeless patch pump. Nearly three-quarters of total revenue is derived from the US, with the remainder primarily from other developed nations. The pumps themselves generate just over half of total sales, and another one-third is from disposable infusion sets that need to be changed over every 2 to 3 days.
RatingPrice TargetTechnical Assessment: Bullish in the Intermediate-Term
On Wednesday, we talked about the relative strength of the iShares Latin America 40 ETF (ILF). Today, we will expand on that and check in on the short- and long-term charts. ILF started trading in 2001, with the ETF having an explosive advance from March 2003 until May 2008, rising from $6.50 to over $61. The hyperbolic move barely paused during the more-than five years, but we all know what happens to blow offs like that. ILF plunged to $20 by late 2008, rebounded to $55 by 2011, and has been mostly a disaster ever since. The ETF's final bear-market bottom occurred during the pandemic (2020), when price fell to $15.50. After rallying to the low $30s by June 2021, ILF traded in a sideways box until early this year. The ETF not only broke out of this bullish base, but (much more importantly) broke the long-term bear market trendline off the all-time high peak from 2008. ILF dropped to $20 during the April 2025 tariff tantrum and then slowly started to build momentum during the following months. The ETF closed at $29.66 on December 17 and ripped to $37 in a little over a month, peaking on January 29. In recent weeks, ILF appears to be tracing out a tight bullish flag, which is a fairly reliable continuation pattern. A breakout over the recent high just above $37 could open the door to a move to the mid-$40s, which represents chart resistance and a key Fibonacci retracement of the bear market. The volume during the advance since last April has been consistently above average during advancing days, which demonstrates institutional accumulation. (Mark Arbeter, CMT)
