Refactoring legacy systems has historically taken months of painstaking detail, and high levels of coordination across engineering teams, with a high risk of missing something critical. Recently, a group of engineers used AI to refactor complex payment dependencies into 40+ scheme-specific deployments. They did it in two months, with zero incidents.
