On the way! 📬🗳️ Absentee ballots for Kentwood voters began leaving the City Clerk’s Office on September 25. If you’re a registered absentee voter, keep an eye on your mailbox! Once your ballot arrives, complete and sign it, then return it by mail or use one of the City of Kentwood’s three secure drop boxes. Completed absentee ballots must be received by your local clerk by 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 3. Still need to request an absentee ballot? You can apply online at Michigan.gov/Vote or visit the Kentwood City Clerk’s Office in person. 📍 Kentwood City Hall 4900 Breton Ave. SE Clerk’s Office Hours: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Tuesday: 7:30 a.m.–6 p.m. Friday: 7:30 a.m.–12 p.m. Plan ahead and make sure your ballot has enough time to reach the Clerk’s Office before the deadline.

We are looking for our next Fire Chief! 🧑🚒 After more than three decades of dedicated service to the Kentwood community, Fire Chief Brent Looman is retiring from the City Kentwood Fire Department. 🚒 As the City prepares for this leadership transition, Kentwood is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking fire service leader to serve as its next Fire Chief.   The next Fire Chief will lead a high-performing department while serving as a member of the City’s executive leadership team. The Chief will work closely with the Mayor, City Commission, department directors, employees, and regional partners to advance strategic priorities while ensuring exceptional public safety services for the community. We will certainly miss Chief Looman's leadership and dedication to our great City, but we hope he enjoys his well deserved retirement. We hope you can join us in thanking Fire Chief Looman for his years of dedication and service keeping Kentwood safe. ❤️ 👉 Deadline Extended!
