At #Oktane26, a big theme emerged: In the age of AI agents, organisations face real confusion about how to move forward safely. This week, #Okta announced a series of innovations—like endpoint detection, Agent SSO, and Auth for UCP—that give enterprises the visibility and control to deploy agents safely and at scale. But more importantly, we recognize this is bigger than one vendor. We’ve joined forces with industry leaders to form the Blueprint Alliance and co-author an open, multi-vendor reference architecture that answers the four key questions for securing and governing agents at enterprise scale. Watching our ecosystem of partners and customers rally around this mission was the highlight of the week. Oktane 2026 is a wrap, and what a week it was! This year Okta put the spotlight on securing the agentic enterprise. Highlights included: 🔹 The launch of the Blueprint Alliance, bringing together leaders across the tech industry around one shared goal: securing AI agents so organizations can move fast without sacrificing security 🔹 New innovations in Okta for AI Agents 🔹 Customer and partner stories from Dell, PGA of America, ServiceNow and more. Lydia Chang and I welcomed 12 industry analysts onsite for a packed analyst summit agenda, 1:1s, keynotes and roadmap sessions. A few days at Oktane always reminds me why getting out from behind the screen matters. I had the chance to talk with so many customers about how they’re actually using the Okta and Auth0 communities. From what’s working to where we can make things easier, and what they’d like to see next. We talked about everything from launching new collaborative spaces to Workflows and finally the refreshed Ideas portal. I went home with lots of takeaways as a result. #Oktane26 is a wrap - what a show. I'm seeing so many posts highlighting different aspects resonating across the industry.. there's so much to discuss. Here's my big 3 take-aways - 1. The Blueprint Alliance - Okta and industry peers have announced a vendor-neutral reference architecture to help CISOs and CIOs structure the secure agentic enterprise. So many awesome logos are already behind this 2. Agent SSO - Think SSO for Agents.. this eliminates consent-screen friction for "on-behalf-of" agent workflows by treating agents as first-class identities, backed by the cross app access (XAA) protocol and 58+ existing partner integrations (growing daily) 3. Okta for AI Agents - Bringing it all together. This is the unified suite to discover, protect, and govern agents, anchored by the Okta AI Agent Gateway for centralized authentication, authorization, and observability. Attending my first Oktane was a super exciting experience! Some highlights, link to Oktane product releases is in the comments: Blueprint Alliance: Okta co-authored the Blueprint Alliance, a multi-vendor reference architecture designed to secure the agentic enterprise. Agent SSO: Extends cross-app access to all SSO customers deploying AI agents. Agent Gateway & Shadow AI Discovery: Enables endpoint discovery natively via Okta Verify and through our partnership with CrowdStrike. Auth0 Identity Conversion Suite: Streamlines identity management for modern workloads. On a fun note, the PuppyLove sponsored by Serval was a huge hit. Oktane 2026 was an incredible experience. As an Identity Security leader at Sonos, Inc. and a member of Okta's Customer Advisory Board, it's always energizing to connect with fellow Identity leaders who are tackling the same challenges I face every day — securing our organizations while embracing AI and enabling innovation at scale. In addition to the keynote, A true highlight of the event was watching my employees Curtis N. and David Wurtzburg present on stage and receive the Workflow Builders Breakthrough Award. I couldn't be prouder of what they've accomplished. I'm also grateful to Okta for showcasing me throughout the event, from posters to displays. It’s humbling to be recognized alongside so many talented leaders in this industry. I love this profession and this community. As an Identity leader, I remain committed to driving security and innovation at Sonos, empowering our employees to deliver the best possible experience and products to our customers. My first Oktane was amazing! I came away with new ideas, a lot of energy, and an even stronger sense of what’s possible for Okta. It was exciting to hear where we’re headed and to see the passion people bring to making it happen. My favorite part was spending time with my colleagues: Sharpy Sandhu, Harini Chellappa & Jenny Song. The conversations between sessions, the chance to learn from one another, and simply laugh together made the week especially meaningful. I’m heading home inspired by the people I work with and excited about what’s ahead for Okta. 💙
