What happens when the hardest problem in hardware is also the most exciting one? At the AI Infra Summit, Amazon's Peter DeSantis described what makes AI chips so hard to build when every workload stresses the system differently. "One workload is power-bound. The next workload is memory-bandwidth-bound. The next is memory-bound... It's one of the most interesting hardware design problems that we've seen in ages," DeSantis said.
