🚨 CALLING DETROIT PROFESSIONALS & COMPANIES! We're preparing for our 2027 Career in Action Series, and we’re looking for companies, organizations and professionals who are ready to help Detroit youth see what their futures could look like. But this isn’t your typical career day. Career in Action is a 6-week, hands-on career exploration experience designed to move students beyond simply hearing about careers and give them opportunities to actually experience them. Check out this video for an example: https://lnkd.in/gjPKzThS 📅 6-week commitment 🗓️ Thursdays ⏰ 4:30–5:40 PM 📍 Detroit 👥 Middle & high school students For 2027, we are currently seeking partners in: 🩺 Medical & Healthcare Doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals who can introduce students to the many careers available in healthcare. 💈 Cosmetology & Barbering Barbers, stylists, beauty professionals, salon owners and educators who can expose students to both the craft AND the business behind the industry. 🤝 Sales Professionals who can teach students that sales is a real, transferable skill—from communication and relationship building to pitching, negotiating and closing. 🎨 Art, Architecture & Design Artists, architects, designers and creative professionals who can introduce students to careers where creativity meets opportunity. What are we looking for from our partners? We want our students to DO, not just listen. Think hands-on activities. Demonstrations. Challenges. Projects. Career simulations. Workplace exposure. Mentorship. Behind-the-scenes experiences. And professionals willing to share the real journey behind their careers. By the end of the six weeks, we want our young people to be able to say: “I didn't just learn about that career.
