  • We're delighted to share that Lauren has been promoted from Marketing Executive to Brand & Events Lead 🥳 Lauren joined Joss Search in October 2022 as a Candidate Manager for Europe, after making the significant career change from teaching to recruitment. It wasn't long before she was turning up with marketing ideas of her own, and when we were in a position to expand the marketing team in September 2023, she was the obvious person to join it. Since then she's become the person behind how Joss looks and sounds. She's always cheerful and enthusiastic, meticulous when it comes to detail, and insanely organised - and she's usually the first to raise her hand when anyone needs help. In her new role, Lauren will take ownership of our growing events programme, alongside continuing to build the Joss brand. As private equity and alternative investment specialists, we invest heavily in creating opportunities for our clients and candidates to connect with others in their sector, share ideas, and strengthen their networks. She'll lead our events strategy end to end, continuing to grow and elevate everything from client roundtables to the networking events that bring our communities together across the UK, Europe, and the US. Lauren embodies our values and is a joy to work with. We're excited to see her step into this next chapter. Huge congratulations, Lauren ✨ 📸 Lauren, Sarah and Joanna

Seven years later, he's a Principal Consultant with an incredible track record and a reputation for building lasting relationships with clients and candidates alike. Over the years, Josh has built an impressive portfolio of clients, earning the trust of some of the industry's leading firms. Through a combination of exceptional client service, hard work, and his naturally likeable manner, he's built relationships that continue to go from strength to strength. Josh is always willing to share his knowledge, support his colleagues, and help wherever he can. He's a hugely valued member of both his team and the wider business, leading not only through his results but also the attitude and behaviours he brings every day. Congratulations, Josh, and thanks for everything you've contributed over the last seven years. Here's to many more 🥂 📸 Josh, Georgia and Ellen on our 2026 Jossie Jolly

  • Celebrating 3 years of Emma at Joss Search ✨ Three years ago, Emma joined us to support our growth in Germany. Since then, she's been a key part of Team Europe's expansion, helping grow our presence across multiple European markets and supporting the team's success every step of the way. Anyone who knows Emma knows how much she cares. Whether it's her candidates, her team, or the wider business, she brings an incredible level of commitment, thoughtfulness, and support to everything she does. This year has been a particularly big one. Alongside playing a key role in our expansion, Emma has done an amazing job developing and mentoring Georgia, always making time to share her knowledge, offer support, and build confidence. Emma's focus, dedication, and ability to get things done are genuinely impressive. Thoughtful, generous, and always ready with a laugh, she brings a huge amount of positivity to the team every day. Her enthusiasm is infectious, and she's brilliant at lifting those around her, whether that's through her support, perspective, or sense of humour. Emma, thanks for everything you bring to Joss. • We've noticed a shift in hiring conversations...   For many years, recruiters have been seen as fixers, briefed at speed on a role to fill an urgent gap or immediate hiring need. But recently we've started having significantly more conversations about roles that don't yet exist.   The private equity and alternative investment firms we partner with are thinking ahead about succession plans, future growth, office openings and team structures long before they need to start interviewing. Rather than reacting to change, they're thinking about the talent they'll need in the future and how they'll find it.   This is a significant shift for business support and operations professionals, and reflects the growing recognition of the strategic roles they play within businesses.   It also gives firms time to benchmark salaries, understand the talent landscape and make thoughtful hiring decisions, resulting in stronger long-term hires, a better candidate experience and greater confidence in the decisions they make.   Do you agree that the best hiring conversations start months before the role does? • Congratulations to Hope, who's celebrating four years at Joss Search and her promotion to Platform and Enablement Executive 🎉 Hope joined us in September 2022 as a Consultant, later moving into candidate management, and then stepping into operations exactly a year ago. Since then she's kept a million trackers updated, all of us compliant and the whole operation running smoothly, with an encyclopaedic knowledge of our tech stack that the rest of us are still catching up on. In her new role, Hope will take on more ownership across our systems and processes, supporting the operational infrastructure that lets every Jossie do their best work as our Business Enablement team continues to grow. Four years in and a career change along the way. Hope, thank you for everything you do - we're so lucky to have you ✨ 📸 Hope and Joanna - both part of our Platform & Enablement team!

  • Today, we pause to remember those who lost their lives on September 11th, and to recognize the families, friends, and communities whose lives were changed forever.   We reflect on the courage, resilience, and sense of community that followed, and on the importance of continuing to remember.

  • Happy 5th Jossieversary, Carla 🎉   As our Head of Brand and Marketing, Carla is the driving force behind so much of what people experience when they interact with Joss. From our brand and content to our events and communications, she works tirelessly behind the scenes to bring our story to life in a way that feels authentic, thoughtful, and true to who we are.   What stands out most about Carla is how deeply she cares about both her work and the business. She's always looking for ways to improve, isn't afraid to ask questions or challenge thinking, and consistently brings fresh ideas and perspectives to the table. Her collaborative approach means she's someone people naturally turn to for input, advice, and support.   Alongside her expertise, Carla brings a calm, considered approach that helps keep projects moving forward, even when there's a lot going on. She's thoughtful, creative, and deeply committed to delivering work that makes a difference.   Carla, thanks for everything you've contributed over the last five years. We're incredibly lucky to have you as part of the team and can't wait to see what the next chapter brings. 📸 Carla and some of our Business Enablement team

  • If you found your ideal hire tomorrow, how quickly could you realistically get them from first interview to day one?   Most businesses put a huge amount of energy and thought into attracting great people. However, momentum during the interview process is critical. More often than not, the biggest risk to securing a great hire are the delays in hiring processes.   Waiting for stakeholder feedback, coordinating multiple interview rounds or navigating lengthy approval processes can all slow things down. Often, it's a sign that the pace at which a business wants to hire doesn't match the reality of its internal processes.    The firms that stand out are those that create a smooth, efficient experience from the first interview through to day one. In a competitive market, speed and candidate experience are often what separate a successful hire from a missed opportunity.   Do you agree? Alexandra Baker Jade S. • We're delighted to share that Joanna has been promoted to Finance and Enablement Lead 🥳 Joanna joined Joss in January 2024 and has been at the centre of how we run day to day ever since. Her reliability is second to none, and no matter the volume coming her way, she stays calm, on top of everything, and gently chases the rest of us to keep things moving. Her impact this year has been immense. She's improved key processes across the business, kept everyone accountable through the smoothest office move we've ever had, and stepped up significantly to support Operations and the wider business through a period of real change. In her new role, Joanna will lead our finance and enablement work, bringing more of our day-to-day finance in-house and turning financial data into sharper decisions as we grow across the UK, Europe and the US. Her hard work, positivity and ability to juggle a million things make her an absolute superstar. Huge congratulations, Joanna, we're excited for your next chapter! 📸 Joanna with Hope and Sarah at our 2026 Summer Social
