Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida

Aviation Day gave Girl Scouts an up-close look at the people, careers, and possibilities that keep the aviation industry moving. At Miami International Airport, Girl Scouts explored an aircraft hangar, connected with aviation professionals, learned about career pathways across the industry, and stepped aboard a Boeing 777-300. We are grateful to former GSTF Board Member and pilot Christine Rupert and VP of Miami Operations for American Airlines JC Liscano for helping make this experience possible, and to Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Commissioners Natalie Milian Orbis and Raquel Regalado for joining us and supporting opportunities that expose Girl Scouts to new industries and career paths. Thank you to American Airlines and all of the participating partners who shared their expertise and helped create a meaningful day of career exploration, learning, and inspiration. When Girl Scouts have opportunities to see themselves in new spaces, new possibilities can take flight.

Proud to partner with United Way Miami to expand opportunities for Girl Scouts across Miami-Dade. As one of the leading supporters of our Community Troops program, United Way Miami helps Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida bring meaningful Girl Scout experiences directly into communities. Their continued investment helps Girl Scouts in grades 4–12 build leadership skills, strengthen their confidence, explore new interests, and become active participants in their communities, with additional support focused on our middle school Girl Scouts. Their partnership also extends beyond funding. United Way Miami has joined us in hands-on service efforts, including tree plantings that help care for the outdoor spaces where our Girl Scouts learn, grow, and lead. This is what United Way Miami’s Blueprint for Impact looks like in action: real partners, real programs, real change for families across Miami-Dade. United is the way we get there, together. We’re grateful for a partnership that continues to invest in both our Girl Scouts and the communities they call home. 💚

We’re grateful to the Coral Gables Community Foundation for their continued investment in Camp Mahachee and its environmental restoration. As one of the project’s initial funders in 2022, the Coral Gables Community Foundation has helped us preserve and strengthen this special property while creating a space where Girl Scouts can connect with the outdoors and develop a lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship. Today, that work includes 5,500 new trees and counting. Thank you to the Coral Gables Community Foundation for helping us ensure Camp Mahachee continues to thrive for generations of Girl Scouts to come.

Girl Scout Cookies, networking, and community came together for our latest Troop 305 gathering: Cookies & Corks. Throughout the evening, guests sampled five thoughtfully selected Girl Scout Cookie and wine pairings while connecting and building relationships within our Troop 305 community. After tasting Lemon-Ups + Sauvignon Blanc, Trefoils + Chardonnay, Samoas + Pinot Noir, Tagalongs + Merlot, and Thin Mints + Cabernet, guests voted Lemon-Ups + Sauvignon Blanc their favorite pairing of the night. A special thank you to Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida Board Member Kitty Dumas for allowing us to host Cookies & Corks at Ryder System, Inc., and for her continued support of our mission and Girl Scout community. Troop 305 brings together women from across our community — whether they grew up as Girl Scouts or always wished they had — to connect, give back, and experience Girl Scouting as adults. Investing in our volunteers means strengthening the Girl Scout experience. At our 2026 Summer Summit, Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida volunteers came together to build skills, exchange ideas, and prepare for the 2026–2027 membership year. The day featured practical workshops on leadership and delegation, troop finances, council patch programs, and visual storytelling—including tips for capturing engaging photos that showcase the Girl Scout experience. Volunteers also had dedicated networking time to connect, collaborate, and share best practices with one another. Thank you to Junior League of Miami and the University of Miami for leading breakout sessions and sharing their expertise with our volunteer community. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and invested their time in becoming even stronger leaders for the girls we serve.
