Meet John Sorkvist 👋 John is one of our Enterprise AI Advisors, based in Philadelphia, PA, USA. What brought him to Unframe? The people, the company, and the market. As he puts it, it's a place where ideas aren't questioned for being too big, only for not being big enough. He was drawn to a passionate, global team that moves fast and brings perspectives from around the world. Having seen the challenges in commercial real estate firsthand, John recognized the huge opportunity ahead. And with the CRE industry moving full speed into AI, Unframe felt like the right place to help shape what comes next. Outside of work, John enjoys family walks, fishing with his kids, reading real books, and watching sci-fi. The Mandalorian, Halo, and Jurassic Park are firmly on the list. He's also into intermittent fasting and considers a walk through downtown New York City in the fall or around Christmas a non-negotiable. Audits run on evidence. A policy is a good starting point, but examiners expect considerably more behind it. Examiners demand more than an audit trail. They need a record that reconstructs a single decision from months ago, down to the data, model version, and configuration in force at that moment. Most deployments aren't close. 78% couldn't confidently pass an independent AI governance audit within 90 days, according to research by Grant Thornton. Among companies still piloting, only 7% were very confident. Auditability belongs in the architecture from day one. Every enterprise AI program that stalls has the same conversation about six weeks in (or maybe its the first assumption). Someone from the data team says, with total sincerity: "but it's all in the warehouse." And they're right. It’s all in the warehouse. That's precisely the problem. Gartner estimates 70-90% of organizational data as unstructured. The warehouse was built for the other 10-30%. The contracts, the call transcripts, the emails where the actual decision got made…none of that’s in there. The tribal knowledge. The corporate process. What’s daunting is that for enterprise AI, unstructured material isn't supporting evidence. It's the substance. It's where the reasoning lives. What actually closes the gap is a context layer: a system that sits above the warehouse, the document stores, and the operational systems, to maintain the relationships, permissions, and provenance those systems individually discard. It doesn't replace the warehouse. The warehouse keeps doing its job > its the record of what happened. The context layer does the job nobody assigned to anything > helps make the decisions on what to do next. Meet Barrett (Baz) Wagle 👋 Baz is one of our Regional GMs, based in New Jersey, USA. Born and raised in Jersey, he started his career on Wall Street, spent a decade in New York City, and came back home knowing exactly what he was looking for. Outside work, he's a homebody by choice and a skier by passion. His days are built around Mary, his rescue dog and unofficial 6am alarm, the gym, a PC he built himself, and ski trips that go all the way. Zermatt, Whistler, Colorado. Japan and South America are next. He also has a genuine passion for financial markets and has spent more hours than he'll admit studying history's greatest disasters. Before joining Unframe, I spent years building an AI memory company. One thing kept surfacing: engineers want to treat memory as a retrieval problem. Better embeddings, tighter vector search, bigger context windows. But that framing solves the wrong thing, regardless of more capable models. What gets "remembered" institutionally is shaped by who wrote things down, which systems got funded, and whose version of events became official. When you ground an AI on enterprise data, you hand it the residue of those dynamics …including contradictions and lots of temporal data. Unlike a human who hesitates when something feels off, the model answers confidently based on its given context. So what can you do about this? Here’s my analysis.
