WELLNESS HOSPITALITY WATCH Wellness isn’t a separate trip; it’s just part of people's routine. Offering wellness at a hotel or resort isn't about facilities and programming. Wellbeing should be woven into the travel experience itself. HOTELS magazine writes that "A different kind of guest is emerging and they’ll reshape how hospitality evolves over the next decade. What’s striking is that many don’t identify as wellness travelers." While a spa, gym and a healthy section on the menu matter, they're not enough in and of themselves. "The larger opportunity is to treat wellness less as a department and more as a design principle: * How lighting affects sleep, how architecture invites movement. * How food and beverage can serve both pleasure and health. * How rooms, nature and recovery experiences shape how a guest feels during and after their stay."
