Join us for the second session in our ATTA Member HUB Safety & Risk Management webinar series, where Dave Dennis from Cornerstone Safety Group will reframe vendor vetting as both a relationship-building process and an organizational protection strategy. He'll explore how thoughtful vetting helps clarify expectations, strengthen communication, identify gaps before they become incidents, and support better alignment between operators and their local partners. From there, Dave will walk through a practical vendor vetting process: how to ask better questions, assess responses, document decisions, respond to gaps, monitor ongoing performance, and determine when a vendor should be paused, suspended, or returned to good standing. 🗓️ ATTA Webinar: Building Trust and Reducing Liability Exposure Through Vendor Vetting 🕖 Tuesday, 29 September at 2:00 PM UTC Sign up, gain access to the HUB, and stay ahead in the adventure travel industry 👉 https://lnkd.in/ecEwT74P #Webinar #ATTA #Travel #Tourism #AdventureTravel #PoweredByAdventure

An identified risk has no value to a Safety Management System until it is mitigated. On a ramp, each zone carries a different level of risk based on the probability and severity of an event: a critical zone near a pedestrian crossing, a high-risk zone around ground equipment, a controlled zone elsewhere. That is the same logic behind a risk matrix in an SMS: probability multiplied by severity, used to prioritize action where it actually matters. This is not theoretical. According to IATA, ground damage currently costs the industry about 5 billion dollars a year, a figure that could double by 2035 without preventive action, with more than 60 percent of incidents caused by ground support equipment. Identifying a risk is not enough. Mitigation requires barriers, procedures, alert thresholds, and follow-up that confirms the measure holds over time. On paper or in a spreadsheet, that follow-up fades fast: risk zones are not updated in real time, and the alert arrives after the incident, not before. Digitalization changes that dynamic. It allows risk zones to be tracked continuously, links every risk to its mitigation measure, and triggers an alert before impact instead of a report after the fact. This is the ground we work on at Ron & Scott Aviation Consulting: building this layer of risk management and tracking into our clients' SMS, from identification to mitigation, with full traceability. In your own operation, the question is not whether risks are identified. It is whether they are actually controlled, and how fast. #RiskManagement #SMS #SGS #AviationSafety #RonScottConsulting

Most of us stop at "WHO could be harmed?" in risk assessment. But a true risk assessment goes further. I learned this yesterday in the Risk Assessment Webinar with Mr. KOLLE FIRMIN organized by TalkSafetyWithFrank: We must also ask "WHAT could be harmed?" A good risk assessment protects: People, yes but also Assets, Environment, Business Continuity, and Reputation. Because protecting people is our priority, but protecting what keeps the business alive tomorrow is how we build a truly safe and resilient organization. RISK = Hazard x Who/What is Exposed x How it Could Happen x Consequences x Controls put in place. Goal: Understand the risk. Control the risk. Protect what matters. #RiskAssessment #HSE #SafetyFirst #ConstructionSafety #TalkSafetyWithFrank #HealthAndSafety #SafetyCulture

Risk Management Breaks at the Handoff ✈️ A disconnected risk management workflow rarely fails at the screen. It fails at the handoff. In aviation operations, managing risk involves more than recording an incident. The information needs to move smoothly between the people responsible for reporting, assessment, investigation, action, and follow-up. The workflow can break when: 🔹 Incident → Safety Team — reports don't reach the right owner with enough context. 🔹 Risk Assessment → Operations — identified risks don't translate into timely action. 🔹 Corrective Action → Verification — actions are completed without a clear follow-up trail. This becomes even more important when safety reporting needs to remain controlled, traceable, and aligned with operational requirements. A stronger workflow connects: Trigger → Owner → Decision → Evidence → Outcome With AeroGuard SMS, aviation teams can bring incident and risk workflows into a more connected safety management environment. 💡 The goal isn't simply to collect safety reports. It's to make sure the right information reaches the right person at the right time. 👉 What is the biggest bottleneck in your current workflow? Still relying on a generic risk register? Under the SMS Standard 2026, your safety system needs to reflect how your operation actually works. That means your routes, your risks, your people and clear accountability for who owns safety. A template might give you a starting point. It does not prove the system is operating effectively in your business. When the auditor starts asking the specific questions, will your evidence match what happens on the road? Tag the operator still running on templates. Commercial cleaning is ultimately a question of consistency, accountability and risk management. In this video, Isaac discusses why organisations should look beyond price alone when selecting a cleaning provider. The content highlights several factors that influence service quality: effective staff training, reliable workers, consistent cleaning standards, clear pricing and the simplicity of working with one accountable supplier. For workplaces in corporate, legal, financial and government environments, inconsistent cleaning can create unnecessary operational and service risks. A professional cleaning partner should therefore be able to provide a structured approach to workforce reliability, quality standards and ongoing service delivery. If your organisation is reviewing its commercial cleaning arrangements, speak with Premium Clean about a tailored solution: https://short.do/ME1L65 Premium Clean Email: hello@premiumclean.co.nz Tel: 0800 786 780 (NZ) Tel: (+64) 92 420 454 #CommercialCleaning #PremiumClean #FacilitiesManagement #WorkplaceServices #CleaningStandards #RiskManagement #ServiceDelivery #CorporateCleaning
