Every great experience begins long before the guest arrives. At Awasi, the quality of each exploration depends on the people leading it, and that is exactly why, at the start of every season, we run the Awasi Academy at each of our lodges. This season, the program is underway at Awasi Patagonia, led by Valentina Álvarez Sepúlveda. Over the course of an intensive training period, our guides deepen their knowledge of the territory through both theory and hands-on fieldwork, covering fauna, flora, geology, elevation, local history, and the countless details that transform an Awasi exploration into something a guest carries with them long after they leave. This year, the Guest Relations team joined the training for the first time, accompanying guides on field outings and experiencing the landscape firsthand. Because knowing a place deeply is the only way to share it authentically. The Awasi Academy is a structured learning system, developed specifically for each destination, renewed every season, and built around a simple belief: that the best guides are those who never stop discovering the place they call home.
