Awasi Santa Catarina is now WITT - Wellness in Travel & Tourism Certified, the first property in Brazil to receive this distinction. WITT (Wellness in Travel & Tourism) is a global certification that evaluates hotels and resorts across five core wellness pillars: Healthy Eating, Holistic Healing, Nature, Movement and Local Impact. Properties are assessed against rigorous criteria to ensure that wellness is authentically integrated into every guest touchpoint from programming and gastronomy to spa, design and connection with the local community. For Awasi Santa Catarina, this certification affirms what has guided our journey from the beginning: wellness as a way of being, not just a set of services. It recognizes our commitment to creating experiences that help guests reconnect with nature, with themselves and with the rhythms of the land, in a place where the ocean is the starting point of every journey. As the first WITT Certified property in Brazil, Awasi Santa Catarina joins a growing global community of hotels that are helping to define the future of authentic wellness travel. #WITTCertified #WellnessTourism #AwasiSantaCatarina #WellnessHospitality #Brazil #SouthAmerica

The spa is not the strategy. Wellness tourism is projected to grow by 9.1% annually through 2029—compared with 6.7% for tourism overall. For Caribbean hotels, that represents a significant opportunity. But adding a spa, a yoga class and a smoothie menu will not be enough. The region already has much of what wellness travellers are seeking: the sea, mountains, mineral springs, medicinal plants, local food traditions, music, movement, culture, community and a deeply rooted relationship with natural wellbeing. The opportunity is not to copy an international wellness model. It is to build a Caribbean one strong enough for the global market. And in Jamaica, ganja can be part of that experience—but only if we approach it responsibly, legally and with meaningful participation from the people and communities whose knowledge gives it authenticity. I explored the opportunity—and where Caribbean hotels may be falling short—in this new piece for Ganjactivist.com: https://lnkd.in/epNjfZf5 What should a genuinely Caribbean wellness hotel include? #WellnessTourism #CaribbeanTourism #Hospitality #CannabisTourism #Jamaica

The “cheapest hotel” can be the most expensive mistake in travel. A recent comparison of Phuket, Krabi, and Koh Samui highlights an important lesson for travelers and travel businesses: Price isn't the same as value. Krabi tends to lead on straightforward affordability. Phuket can offer stronger mid-range value because of its larger hotel inventory, flight connectivity, and package options. Koh Samui plays a different game, delivering stronger value for travelers seeking boutique, wellness, and luxury experiences. The bigger takeaway? Travel decisions should be based on TOTAL TRIP VALUE, not simply the nightly room rate. Flights. Transportation. Food. Activities. Location. Included amenities. That's where the real comparison begins. For 2026 Thailand travel, the “best island” depends less on popularity and more on the traveler's priorities. ⤵️ https://lnkd.in/ge4zC8st Which island would win a value comparison: Phuket, Krabi, or Koh Samui? #TravelIndustry #ThailandTravel #TravelMarketing #HotelMarketing #TravelPlanning
