Google Cloud’s Post

Introducing PostgreSQL for agents in AlloyDB! Run millions of agents directly on live production data without slowing down the systems that run your business. Here’s how: 🛡️ Agent queries run separately from your primary database, keeping your core business safe from sudden traffic surges. ⚡ Built on Google’s storage infrastructure for fast, direct access to real-time transactional data. 📉 Bursts to over 1,000 readers in seconds to handle spikes, then scales back down so you only pay for what you use. 🔗 Query live transactions and analytics together without the headache of building complex data pipelines. Sandboxed instances that scale to zero take care of the cost problem, and full isolation from the primary cluster handles the blast radius problem - which becomes the bigger concern once a bad reasoning loop can generate query storms that no cache layer catches in time

Separating agent reads from the transactional plane solves only the first production question. Regulated teams will still need per-agent identity, row-level authorization, query budgets, and replayable logs so an unexpected reasoning loop can be contained and reconstructed without touching the primary workload.

Pretty cool and shows why Google is a good partner to have.
