Aarushi Nair reposted thisAarushi Nair reposted thisNearly one thousand brilliant leaders, researchers, builders, and technologists across the tech ecosystem have just been notified that their sessions are heading to the GHC 26 stage and I couldn’t be more proud. 💜 Congratulations to every speaker whose proposal was greenlit. You represent the bold ideas, lived experiences, and future-focused thinking that make the Grace Hopper Celebration unlike any other tech convening. Your voices will help shape the conversations that matter most as we gather this October in Anaheim, California, and online with our global community joining from around the world. To everyone else reading this: this is your moment to be part of it. Early Bird registration for GHC 26 is now open, and it is our most accessible entry point to experiencing GHC in person and virtually, October 27–30. Whether you come to Anaheim or join us online, GHC is where opportunity, community, and innovation converge. This year at GHC, AI isn’t a track: it’s the context. It’s embedded in conversations about leadership, product, ethics, workforce, and power. Because the real question isn’t whether AI will change everything. It’s whether *everyone* will get to shape what it becomes. Artificial intelligence cannot fully emulate the human capacity for forming communities that facilitate substantive and transformative dialogue and the solutions to our complex problems. Inherently human qualities such as joy, hope, imagination, and empathy are only enhanced through collective engagement. And a reminder: becoming an AnitaB.org Member deepens that experience 365, unlocking year-round connection, resources, and pathways to grow, lead, and thrive in tech well beyond the conference. Plus, you get great discounts! The stage is set. The speakers are ready. I hope you’ll join us. 👉🏾 Register early and be part of GHC 26. https://ghc.anitab.org/ #womenintech #GraceHopperCelebration #leadership #AI #Community AnitaB.org

Aarushi Nair shared thisStill stuck in a bit of a time loop — I can’t believe 𝐆𝐇𝐂𝐈 25 has actually come to an end. The last three days were a whirlwind of connection and community… and this little video captures just a fraction of that energy. This celebration is built by people who care deeply, and I’m endlessly grateful for every single one of them. Big shoutout to my phenomenal AnitaB.org India team — thank you for being so supportive and for quite literally running alongside me till the finish line 😅💙 Especially grateful to Shreya Krishnan — thank you for springing up that impromptu thank-you moment on stage, giving me the space to speak straight from the heart. Aarushi Nair reacted on thisAarushi Nair reacted on this100,000. I paused before writing this. Because milestones are strange things. They look like numbers. But they carry meaning. This is less about me, and more a celebration of the fact that… 100,000 of you are in conversation with these ideas. ➡️ Ideas about what it means to live and lead consciously. ➡️ About building a more inclusive world - where “half the sky” (women) rises fully. ➡️ About doing the inner work that shapes how we show up on the outside. If you’re new here, a little about me: ✨ I’m a global citizen - I’ve lived in 8 countries, from the U.S. to India to now Singapore. ✨ I’m drawn to the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern science. ✨ I facilitate leadership work rooted in mindfulness and positive psychology. ✨ I’m committed to helping more women step into positions of real impact. ✨ I wrote The Conscious Choice - exploring how small, everyday choices can shape our lives. ✨ I believe the quality of our external world is a reflection of our internal one. This isn’t just content for me. It’s a body of work. A quiet attempt to make leadership more conscious. And the world a little more compassionate. Thank you for being part of it. And thank you for choosing depth in a world optimized for noise. I’d love to know: What about my work/content resonates with you? And what ideas would you like me to dive into further? ➕ Follow me, Bhavna Toor, for daily content on living and leading consciously.

Aarushi Nair liked thisAarushi Nair liked this"Raise your hand if you have delivered consistently strong results, been told you are ready for more — and still watched that next big role go somewhere else." Every single hand in the room went up. Shreya Krishnan, Managing Director India at AnitaB.org, took the stage as our Keynote Speaker at Being CEO Ready — 3rd Edition and did not let that moment pass. She sat in it. Because that raised hand is the story of too many women who are visible, capable, delivering — and still not the CEO. She talked about the traffic light in every woman's head. The one nobody installed consciously but everyone is running on. It turns red when you are about to ask for more. Amber when you are about to take up space. Green only when you are small enough, shrunk enough, palatable enough for everyone else to be comfortable. She named it for what it is — not a personality trait. A survival strategy. One that has long outlived its welcome. Then she put the numbers on the screen. 30.6% of senior leadership roles held by women globally. 10.4% of Fortune 500 CEOs are women. In India — 2%. And then she said what the data actually means. The gap is not in talent. It is in selection. We are building leaders. We are just not selecting them. She taught the room an NLP hack — the tongue drop exercise — to interrupt the voice of self-doubt mid-spiral. She asked everyone to close their eyes and rate that inner voice of self-doubt on a scale of one to five. Then place the tip of the tongue where the lower teeth meet the lower palate. Within thirty seconds, the number dropped across the room. That, she said, is the power we have over the spaces we can occupy. And yet we are constantly stripped of it. She ended with a poem she wrote — Being Brave, Her Kind of Beautiful. And by the time the last line landed, the room was not just applauding. It was transformed. Being CEO ready is not outside you. It is in you. It always was. BAGGGEL Foundation is a community built for women on the CEO journey — learning, growing, and leading together. Aarushi Nair liked thisAarushi Nair liked thisI lost thousands of dollars my first year as a full-time entrepreneur. All because I had zero system for tracking my expenses (which I found out the hard way during tax season). So this tax season, I’m using BILL to manage all of my invoices and expenses. → It reads and pulls data from my invoices automatically → Flags anything that looks like a duplicate → The AI learns my patterns over time, so it gets more accurate without me doing more work I'm not manually entering any numbers a single number anymore. And as someone running a multi-six figure business, those time savings really add up for me. If you're freelancing, creating, or building anything on your own, get a real system with BILL before tax season humbles you too 😅 You can try BILL for yourself using the link in my comments below 👇

Aarushi Nair reacted on thisAarushi Nair reacted on thisThe moments you realize your parents are getting older. Every time I go back home to India, I notice my parents getting older. I’m sure you’ve felt it too, if you live away from family. → When you notice your dad is walking slower than you. → When your mom asks you to read the label on a bottle because the font is too small. → When your dad lets you carry the heavy bag without arguing. → When your mom’s hands feel rough like sandpaper. → When your dad starts to fall asleep at 8 pm. → When your mom needs to take rest while walking a long stretch. → When your dad’s handwriting looks shakier than you remembered. → When you notice wrinkles that you never saw on your mom’s face. — Time moves quietly, but quickly. Aarushi Nair reacted on thisAarushi Nair reacted on thisThe problem isn't that you're not ready. It's that waiting for ready is a trap. One day you’ll wish you’d started sooner. Not because you weren’t capable. Because your brain got very good at waiting. That’s what repetition does. The brain wires around what you practice. So when you keep delaying the conversation, the launch, the boundary, the ask, the leap, your nervous system starts to treat hesitation like safety. And the longer that pattern runs, the more normal it feels to stay where you are. That’s the danger. A lot of people think they’re waiting for the right time. But often they’re just reinforcing avoidance. And avoidance is tricky. It can sound responsible. Strategic. Thoughtful. But underneath it, your brain is often doing what it does best: protecting you from uncertainty, rejection, failure, and loss of control. Your amygdala doesn't care how important the dream is. It cares whether the move feels risky. So it whispers: Not yet. Wait a little longer. Get more proof. Think about it more. Try when you feel ready. And then a season passes. Then another. Then another. Meanwhile, the life you want is still sitting on the other side of a few brave decisions. Action gives your brain evidence that forward is safe enough. It interrupts the threat loop. It gives your prefrontal cortex something new to work with. It builds self-trust. Because you stop treating fear like it gets the final vote. That’s how people change. Not when they finally feel fearless. When they move before certainty shows up. 3 things you can do now: 1️⃣ Take one real action in 24 hours Send the message. Book the meeting. Post the idea. Make the ask. Small action weakens avoidance and teaches the brain that movement is survivable. 2️⃣ Name the exact fear Write down what you think will happen. The brain handles specific fear better than vague fear. Clarity lowers neural noise. 3️⃣ Repeat one brave behavior this week Not ten things. One thing. One hard conversation. One visible move. One act of courage done more than once. That’s how rewiring happens. Your future is being shaped by what you keep practicing now. So practice movement. Practice courage. Practice telling the truth. Practice choosing the life you actually want. Fear will always make a convincing argument. But hope deserves a vote too. Choose now. P.S. What have you been waiting for? Video Credit: Unknown Create some creative space in your GTM strategy. https://lnkd.in/gvZNBKq9 --------------------------------------------------------------- ➕Follow Shannon Smith for more on neuroscience and change ♻️ Repost this for someone who needs to stop waiting.

NEW PUBLICATION: In the new book, 'Healthcare for All: Community Action and Public Systems for an Inclusive India', edited by Professor K. Srinath Reddy [Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI)], Girija Vaidyanathan, and Amarjeet Sinha [Centre for Social and Economic Progress], Bhargav Krishna and Dr. Nazneen, Ph.D contributed a chapter that catalogues evidence on the health impacts of air pollution across different demographics, and what an effective policy response from the health sector should look like. They suggest making health the basis for crafting mitigation action — identifying sources most toxic to human health and that contribute most to exposure, and prioritising these for action. Nidhi and Farzana represented CDF at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, scouring for conversations rooted in public-interest and safe, accountable tech. One of CDF’s core advocacy areas being online child safety, we were particularly drawn to the discussions spanning robust recommendations from multi-stakeholder consultations, to the global consensus on safety guardrails and AI literacy. Dr. Rumman Chowdhury stressed on the importance of measuring and quantifying the influence of AI systems on young people’s brains, so that we can more definitively say how AI should be implemented in schools, so that young people can truly augment their learning instead of becoming more disillusioned. Among other sessions, Paola Gálvez Callirgos’ framing of human-centric tech policy and call for enforceable ethics deeply resonated with us. Yoshua Bengio shared key findings from the 2026 International AI Safety Report and Digital Futures Lab mobilised CSOs through the Global South Network for AI Safety and Evaluation - both important steps toward tracking risks as they emerge, and building empirical evidence to inform AI policies. Aapti Institute’s exploration of openness as a means to democratisation and data sovereignty was a fitting close to 5 days of discussions, during which CDF selectively engaged with substance over spectacle. #IndiaAIImpactSummit2026 #ResponsibleAI #AIGovernance

IIT Bombay hosted an insightful lecture by Professor Monica Lakhanpaul, Professor of Integrated Community Child Health at UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health recently. Her talk, "From Early Years to Emerging Futures: Co-Creating for Societies' Impact across Health, Environment and the Arts," explored how interdisciplinary and participatory approaches can address complex societal challenges. Prof. Lakhanpaul shared experiences from pioneering initiatives such as CHAMPIONS, NEON, PSP REFUGEE, SPROCKET, and PANChSHEEEL, demonstrating how community participation, creative arts, and citizen science can advance equity and sustainability. Her message resonated deeply with Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay's vision of research-led societal transformation, inspiring faculty and students to view research as a collaborative process that creates real-world impact. #IITBombay #IITBLectureSeries #ChildHealth #HealthEducation Upendra Bhandarkar | Ravishankar Gedela | Nidhi Mathur Chhabra | Jalpa Vyas | Nishant Maloo | Dnyanada Deshpande | Alifiya Karimi Jillisger | Ankit Koradia | Manjula Mehta | Namrata Ashok | Diksha Sekhri | Padma Thommandram

The fight for transgender rights in India is not just a legal battle; it's a fight for social justice, equality, and human dignity. Dr. Manish Jain, founder of Kineer Garima Foundation, is building measurable pathways for LGBTQ+ especially transgender community inclusion and development in India, from skill development to corporate placements, from health camps to policy dialogue. 1200+ individuals trained and placed. 4 lakh+ supported with ration assistance. 30,000+ receiving healthcare benefits. But beyond numbers, his mission is clear: Move inclusion from tokenism to infrastructure. 💬 What would inclusion look like if it was embedded into culture as normalcy? CoRE stack

Deeply reflective blog by Anuradha Ganapathy from her field visits to observe Commons Connect deployments with partners Foundation For Ecological Security (FES), SUPPORT Jharkhand, Gram Vaani, and others. In Anuradha's words: ----------------- Throughout the project, I kept looking for AI. As a technology, as a marker of significance, as a key actor. I didn’t find it. Its only now I understand why. Because I was looking for it in spaces it didn’t belong. The people I met didn’t need an algorithm to make rules for them; they needed safeguards to ensure that the codified rules of the commons were not misappropriated for the benefit of a powerful few. They did not need workflows to be automated. They needed data to challenge and dismantle the structures that upheld these workflows. Structures built on top-down norms of budget and target allocation. Structures enabled by caste hierarchies and power asymmetries. Structures that rendered them invisible or important. They were not looking to be educated on how the algorithm works, what rules it was coded on, what norms guided data use. Instead, they asked if the tool could amplify their voices, legitimise their rights and entitlements, capture systematic violations and erasures, and hold local village councils to account. ----------------- Anuradha's 4-word description summarizes the CoRE stack's approach to tech: More participation, Less "AI" The credit goes to all the field partners for having discovered the right way to introduce tech and data and leverage it for what communities need rather than the other way around. 📢 Pacta officially launched the report "Access to Justice for Persons with Disabilities in India: A Data-informed Report" on July 4, 2025. The report highlights the systemic absence of disability-disaggregated data across the justice system. This gap reflects the broader invisibility of persons with disabilities across its four key pillars: 👮🏽 Police |⚖️ Judiciary |📄 Legal Aid | 🏛️ Prisons Over 60 participants attended the event, including lawyers, researchers, advocates, and persons with lived experience. 🔍 Key Highlights from the Panel Discussions 🔹 Panel 1: Designing for Inclusion – Disability Accessibility Across the Justice System ❌ The post of Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities (CCPD) often remains vacant or lacks functional independence and representation 🧭 Reforms exclude voices of persons with disabilities from rural and marginalised communities ⚠️ Basic accessibility issues persist in courts 🗣️ Inclusion must involve persons with disabilities in design and feedback 🔹 Panel 2: Justice Seen, Justice Done – The Role of Courts in Advancing Disability Rights 📉Reasonable accommodation enforcement is patchy, especially in private sector ⚖️Some High Courts have started to prioritise disability-related cases 📋 Many States have not notified special courts under the RPwD Act 📣 Section 12 must be operationalised to ensure access across the justice system 📗 Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/gYRQEr_Y 📄 Accessible version: https://lnkd.in/gBmnsDBF Shanti Raghavan | jeeja ghosh | Nipun Malhotra | Rahul Bajaj | Jayna Kothari | Shrutika Pandey | Shreya Tripathy | Sudhir Shenoy | Centre for Law and Policy Research | Mission Accessibility | EnAble India | Nipman Foundation | Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy | iProbono India #AccessToJustice #DisabilityRights #LegalReform #InclusiveJustice #DisabilityInclusion #HumanRights #SocialJustice #DisabilityDataGaps #Pacta

The C3S2 Youth Leadership Program (YLP) continues to dive deeper into the mechanics of Indian democracy during its Theoretical Foundation Module. On Day 4, our Fellows explored a vital yet often underutilized instrument of parliamentary democracy: the Private Member Bill. This session provided a comprehensive look at how individual Members of Parliament can introduce legislation to highlight critical social issues and drive policy discourse outside of government-sponsored business. Session Topic: Private Member Bills — Concept, Structure, and Drafting Essentials The session was meticulously designed to transition Fellows from being consumers of legislative text to being creators of it. The curriculum covered: The Concept: Understanding the significance of Private Member Bills in voicing constituency concerns and pushing for legal reform. Structural Framework: A deep dive into the formal components required for a Bill to be admissible in Parliament. Drafting Essentials: Practical training on articulating legislative intent, drafting clauses, and preparing the 'Statement of Objects and Reasons.' We were honored to have Vibhuti Sharma lead this technically rigorous session. Her background in legal academia and legislative research provided the Fellows with a unique blend of theoretical depth and practical insight. Her distinguished profile includes: Academic Excellence: Current Academic Fellow (Criminal Law) at NLU Delhi, holding a Master’s in Public Law with the Vice Chancellor’s Gold Medal and the Utkarsh Award. Legislative Experience: A former LAMP Fellow at PRS Legislative Research, with extensive experience in legislative analysis. Government Advisory: Former Young Professional at the Ministry of Women & Child Development, specializing in gender-responsive policymaking. Core Expertise: A specialist in criminal law reform, public legal education, and policy analysis. Vibhuti’s expertise in criminal law and her experience at the Ministry provided our Fellows with the precision needed to draft impactful legislation. By the end of the session, the cohort was equipped with the tools to assist their assigned MPs in drafting meaningful Private Member Bills. #YouthLeadership #ViksitMadhyaPradesh #PublicPolicy #MembersofParliament #ParliamentaryInternship #PrivateMemberBill #LegislativeDrafting #CriminalLaw #NLUDelhi #PublicPolicy #LAMPFellow #Governance #ViksitBharat #NLUdelhi #MinistryofYouthaffairs #VBYLD

📢 New Publication | Student-Led Advocacy for #LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Health Education Across India, many LGBTQIA+ students in Health Professional Education institutions continue to encounter stigma, discrimination, and unsafe learning environments. 📜 Our new paper, “Building LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Health Professional Education Spaces in India through Student-Led Advocacy: The TransCare Queer Ambassador Model,” explores a powerful grassroots approach led by students themselves. The #TransCare Queer Ambassador (QA) model is a year-long, mentored, #student-led initiative designed to drive change from within campuses. 📣 🌈 Eight Queer Ambassadors across six Indian states worked to: 🔸 Promote LGBTQIA+ inclusion across admissions processes, classrooms, residences, and campus infrastructure 🔸 Build awareness and visibility around diverse gender and sexual identities 🔸 Strengthen on-campus queer communities and peer-support systems As Marshall Chin, Richard Parrillo Family Distinguished Service Professor of Healthcare Ethics at the University of Chicago, notes: 🗨️ “The Queer Ambassador model demonstrates the #transformative power of #studentleadership when supported by mentorship, resources, and faculty allyship. Grassroots initiatives combined with broader institutional and policy reforms can create safer, #affirmative, and more inclusive learning environments in #healthEducation.” Reflecting on the initiative, Gaurav Prateek, Assistant Coordinator at #iHEAR Sangath, highlights the importance of creative and interdisciplinary approaches: 🗨️ “Mentorship in humanities and arts-based methodologies—such as poetry, reflective writing, forum theatre, and audiovisual arts—can empower health students with critical tools to design and implement collaborative and scalable LGBTQIA+ interventions on educational campuses.” 🌱The change has been tangible. Queer Ambassadors led initiatives such as: 🫴 Establishing gender-neutral washrooms 🫴Advocating for inclusive admission forms 🫴Developing #SOGIESC (sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and sex characteristics) handbooks 🫴Creating safe peer-support networks They also organized arts-based campaigns, HIV prevention workshops, safe sex awareness sessions, and campus dialogues on sexual harassment and #equity. While institutional pushback remains a reality in some settings, the Queer Ambassador model offers a promising, scalable framework for building safer and more inclusive campuses—and for strengthening LGBTQIA+ affirmative #healthSystems in India and beyond. 🔗 Read the full publication and learn how student-led advocacy can transform health education spaces: https://lnkd.in/dV5mxTDf Anant Bhan Harikeerthan Raghuram Satendra Singh, MD Dr. Vishal Karmani Aniruddha (Anu) Hazra Aqsa Shaikh Mukul Bhowmick L Ramakrishnan Dr. Anushruti Shukla Ananyan Sampath Dr.Vignesh Dhananjayan Ardra R. Dr. K. Madan Gopal delivered a deeply insightful perspective on why inter-departmental collaboration is crucial for effective tobacco control. 🏛️🔗 He stressed that breaking down silos between departments—health, education, youth affairs, tribal welfare, and development sectors—is vital for equitable and sustainable health outcomes. He emphasized that convergence enhances governance, strengthens operational efficiency, and ensures that underserved communities—especially tribal populations—receive the benefits of coordinated public health efforts. His message highlighted that collaboration across government systems is not only a strategy but a necessity for transformative impact. 🌱💙 #SystemsStrengthening #IntegratedApproach #CollectiveAction #BetterTogether #MultiSectoralCollaboration

In #BrookingsGS #ElhamTabassi and look back at the India’s AI Impact Summit. We found many discussions of AI sovereignty resonated with our #Brookings/ #CEPS report on the subject by zeroing in on advantages, constraints, and needs rather than the technology itself, something reinforced by the summit’s emphasis on adoption and development. It was notable that OSTP Director Michael Kratsios, while speaking of US AI as “the gold standard” also acknowledged his audience’s aspirations for AI sovereignty by framing US AI products and services as tools of “strategic autonomy” and “national destiny.” Safety and international cooperation were not front and center, but not ignored. The Hiroshima AI process and disclosures came in for discussion, as did the UK safety report and that work continues .
