I'm trying to download QGIS 4.0 on Ubuntu, but even following the tutorial correctly and without using the QGIS Ubuntu link with LTR, I'm still downloading version 3.44. From what I saw on the website, QGIS 4.0 is already available for Linux Ubuntu as well, so why is this happening? Has anyone managed to download it?

Either upgrade to a newer version of Ubuntu or wait for 4.0 to be released as a flatpak.user2856– user28562026-04-13 03:56:01 +00:00Commented Apr 13 at 3:56

QGIS 4.0 is available from Ubuntu 25.04 and newer as it's stated here: https://qgis.org/resources/installation-guide/#available-codenames
It is because of software dependencies.
