Hospitality and leisure businesses, a 5% VAT rate just landed for summer. Simple? Not quite 🚨☀️ From 25 June to 1 September 2026, a temporary VAT cut targets children’s meals, family tickets and attractions. This isn’t a blanket reduction, and VAT now depends on how you sell – not just what you sell. Menus. Ticket types. Bundles. Pricing. All of it now impacts your VAT position. Get it right, it’s an opportunity to drive footfall and gain an edge. Get it wrong, and you risk HMRC issues later.
