The Ambulance Radio Programme (ARP) delivers crucial technological system improvements to ensure enhanced communications between Ambulance Trusts, the NHS, and other emergency responders. Working with Vysiion Limited and Exponential-e, ARP has built a highly resilient national network - spanning dual data centres and 35 trusts - to ensure continuous, secure communications and mobilisation. Richard Lycett, Senior Technical Manager at ARP in his latest article for Emergency Services Times explores the journey and discusses how success has relied not just on technology, but on partnership, operational discipline, and continuous improvement to maintain resilience in a mission critical environment. Thank you Mel Gomes, it was fantastic to have you with us on the day, and we're glad the session delivered value. Your takeaways really capture the essence of what we were aiming for - moving beyond the hype of AI into practical, measurable outcomes, while keeping performance, governance and user experience front of mind. For those who could not attend, we’ve also recently recorded a podcast with Daniel Hulme (ranked #25 AI leader globally), where we go deeper into one of the biggest challenges we’re seeing right now - the growing complexity of “shadow AI” within organisations, and what needs to be in place to manage it effectively while still enabling innovation. You can access the podcast here: Our website: https://lnkd.in/e8P4ZfNm
A value-add session from Tech partner Exponential-e last week shared specific expertise from the MoD, GCHQ, AI thought leaders, global vendors, delivery partners and multi-national customer case studies. I have summarised some of my takeways here: * Business cases for AI should detail the impact and measures on improving ROI, reducing costs and/or making processes quicker, while detailing how user experience won’t deteriorate. * Alongside new AI projects, IT must make sure they are still maintaining high-levels of performance for users and be able to demonstrate 99% + NPS scores for service desk tickets, kit replacement and all end-user IT experience (equiment, platforms, networks including VPN, mobile and WiFi connectivity, etc) * With the right AI deployment, there can be predictive analysis based on continual supply chain intelligence, which can lead to agile based procurement decision making that deliver better value. * If small proof of concepts in AI project implementations show they aren’t working, they should be killed off quickly. * HE is a sector in the UK that is now investing in super-computers for research, but need to be able to commerically partner with tech vendors to deliver outcomes. * Data can never be fully ready; a risk-averse approach in not recognising that adds unnecessary delays and costs to project delivery. * When choosing between projects, it is more beneficial to go for differentiators rather than quick wins. * No nation can be completely sovereign, so there is a focus on resilience and understanding tech is critical infrastructure. * Public Sector often has strategic intent from talent within organisations, but will fail when it reverts to the slow governance, long change programmes and box-ticking based procurement that were common pre-pandemic. #PublicSector #AI #Technology #DigitalTransformation #SupplyChainManagement #Procurement

Following our recent Building AI into the Fabric of the Enterprise event, the conversation continues with Jonathan Bridges and Daniel Hulme in Episode 1 of our new podcast series In this clip, they explore whether AI should be given a “conscience”, and the risks of creating “zombie AI” that completes its task at all costs, regardless of the wider impact It is a useful reminder that responsible AI is not just about capability, but governance, intent and control Watch the full episode to hear more from Jonathan Bridges and Daniel Hulme on building AI safely and effectively into the enterprise: https://lnkd.in/e8P4ZfNm #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #EnterpriseAI #ResponsibleAI #AIGovernance #DigitalTransformation #TechnologyLeadership #CyberSecurity #CloudComputing #DataStrategy

Yesterday we had an exceptional turnout at our Building AI into the Fabric of the Enterprise event at Shangri-La Hotel - The Shard. With a full room of attendees and many joining via live stream, the level of engagement reflects the growing urgency for organisations to move AI from concept to real-world impact. We were proud to host an outstanding line-up of speakers including Daniel Hulme, Sir Jeremy Fleming, Steve Young, Steve Blood, and Stuart Walters, alongside valuable contributions from Edward Stringer during the panel discussion. Together, they brought a breadth of perspectives spanning AI strategy, infrastructure, customer experience, cyber security, and national security, reinforcing a clear message: AI success is not about isolated innovation, but about embedding capability across the enterprise. We are also continuing the conversation through a series of complimentary consultancy sessions designed to help organisations move from insight to execution which you can register here: https://lnkd.in/eiJTPufm Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such a high-impact day. #ArtificialIntelligence #EnterpriseAI #DigitalTransformation #AIAdoption #Innovation #TechnologyLeadership #DataStrategy #BusinessTransformation

Many organisations have already invested in Microsoft security tools such as Microsoft 365, Azure and Defender, but technology alone is not enough The real value comes from having the right people and processes in place to monitor alerts, investigate threats and respond quickly, Microsoft Sentinel helps bring those signals together, while 24/7 SOC support and automation turn visibility into action If you want to get more from the Microsoft security tools you already own, speak to us about our managed SOC: https://lnkd.in/gjfqxj-S #CyberSecurity #MicrosoftSecurity #MicrosoftSentinel #ManagedSOC #SecurityOperations #SOC #Microsoft365 #Azure #ThreatDetection #IncidentResponse #ManagedSecurityServices
