  • Nissan Motor Corporation just announced it is cutting its global model lineup from 56 to 45. To some, this may appear a straightforward product decision. In reality, it is a matter of Supply Chain, AI Adoption and Risk Management. Fewer models means fewer platforms, fewer components, fewer supplier relationships to manage, fewer production lines to run. It means higher utilisation rates, tighter procurement leverage and faster time to market on the models that actually matter. Nissan has been here before. Overcomplexity crept in over years of chasing volume. The result was a supply chain carrying the weight of models that were not pulling their weight commercially. When margins compress, that complexity becomes impossible to defend. Charlie Webb, Head of Automotive, shares his perspective on the recent news.

  • Q1 2026. A record we won't forget. At the start of the year we set targets that were going to stretch everyone. Not comfortably ambitious. Actually ambitious. We knew the only way to get there was smarter, not just harder. So we built the development frameworks to back that up and handed them over to the team. What happened next was on them. Record revenue. Record retainers sold. Record quarter for the US team. Beyond the revenue, we grew in headcount and in seniority. 5 brilliant new people joined the business. 4 of our existing team stepped up into bigger roles. The firm that finishes Q1 looks quite different to the one that started it... and we are still growing.

  • #nexusroundup International Women’s Day at nexus was a moment to reflect, recognise, and celebrate the women who shape our industry and our business. We kicked things off with a brilliant breakfast roundtable hosted by WomenInRec where members of the nexus team joined others across the industry to share experiences and perspectives on building stronger, more inclusive careers in recruitment. Back in the office, the celebrations continued with our own Purple Day. The team took part in a simple but meaningful exercise, sharing the women who inspire them and why. From global leaders like Mary Barra of General Motors to colleagues closer to home, the stories highlighted the impact women have across industries and within our own business. We also spent some time learning about the 100 women who changed the world, alongside a few cupcakes and plenty of purple ribbons across the office. IWD is always a good reminder that while the industry has come a long way, there is still work to do. At nexus, we remain committed to building a business where great people, ideas, and leadership can thrive. Swipe through to see how the team marked the week.

  • Last month, we took a moment to pause and recognise the people behind the progress. Hitting targets will always matter and we celebrate that BIG at nexus all the time. But the real measure of a business is the culture that sits beneath those numbers. The people who raise standards. The people who carry others with them. The people who make nexus, nexus. Our awards evening was a chance to celebrate exactly that... Each win represents consistency, character, care and the quiet daily actions that move the business forward. Moments like this matter to us at nexus. They remind us that while ambition drives us forward, it is people who define the journey. The bar continues to rise. And this is just the beginning. Congratulations again to all of our winners. Joe Chadd, Hannah Sutton, Connor Ives, Regan Downes, Sadie Sakellaris, Chris Burnett, Charlie Webb, Colby Bubb, Luke Hirst,
