Nscale and BT Group have announced plans to deliver sovereign AI data centers in the UK, powered by NVIDIA. Together, we plan to deploy up to 14MW of AI compute across three of BT's existing strategic UK sites, expanding the UK's AI compute capacity and enabling organisations to adopt AI securely, at scale, and under UK control. As our CRO Tom Burke puts it: "You can't deliver AI at scale without resilient, high-capacity networks as the backbone." Read more here: https://lnkd.in/erHHkKpb

Honored to host Jonas Gahr Støre, the Norwegian Prime Minister, at Nscale’s Narvik AI data center campus yesterday. During the visit, the Prime Minister toured our facilities and saw firsthand how Narvik is emerging as a hub for sustainable, high-performance AI compute infrastructure for Europe. At Nscale, we’re committed to building infrastructure that not only meets the demands of the AI era, but also aligns with Norway’s leadership in renewable energy and sustainability. Thank you to the Prime Minister and delegation for taking the time to visit us in Narvik — and thank you to all our partners in Narvik, including the Mayor Rune Edvardsen and UiT- The Arctic University of Norway for joining the tour. We look forward to continuing to contribute to Norway’s growing position in the global data center landscape.

AI infrastructure is a board-level conversation now. Our President of AI Infrastructure, Nidhi Chappell, sat down with Strategy+Business publication to talk about what that shift actually means: from 6 kW racks to 130 kW in a matter of years, why liquid cooling is now the baseline, and how a vertically integrated, ground-to-cloud model is increasingly necessary to keep pace with hardware cycles that refresh every 12 to 18 months. If you're a CTO or CIO thinking about capacity strategy right now, this is worth your time. Read the full interview: https://lnkd.in/e_HZDebx

Predictable latency is critical for modern AI. We spoke with Marika Mentula, VP of Network Infrastructure at Nokia, about why traditional networks struggle to meet the demands of AI workloads and why consistent, low-latency performance matters more than ever. As AI moves into production, infrastructure must evolve. The AI Grid shows a move toward a more distributed system that understands workloads and reduces delays by putting computing power closer to where data is created, instead of relying on central servers. AI roaming will be one of the defining capabilities of distributed AI infrastructure. In the same way mobile networks hand off connectivity as you move between countries, AI roaming enables live sessions, context, and memory to follow users seamlessly across environments. Always-on inferencing demands an enriched service, and as that becomes the standard, the ability to share information across locations as users move makes roaming a requirement.
