We had to submit written work, evidence of academic achievements and participate in group challenge days where we were assessed on personal levels. Tasks included basic logic puzzles, orienteering, and other team games. PONT
Student Ambassador
- PresentVolunteering and fundraising for PONT, an exchange between Pontypridd and a school in Mbale, Uganda. In October 2010, I was given a grant by the British Council to take part in an education bid and was able to spend time working in Uganda as part of the project. I was able to work in orphanages and visit local engineering projects. In return, two students from Uganda came to stay at my home in Wales. This was a very exciting project and I still keep in touch with the exchange students.

Freshers' Representative, Year Representative

As Freshers' Rep, I was solely responsible for organising Freshers Week for September 2012. I was responsible for the allocation of college families (mentoring scheme) and the itinerary for the week. This including organising a societies fair, arranging pub crawls, scavenger hunts, jazz nights, film nights, midnight punting on the river cam, BBQs, sports days and even the welcome welfare talks. This was a very busy week, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Ecohouse Initiative
Events Manager

As events manager, I was responsible for organising fundraising and promotional events for the society. These included building a temporary house, where members of the public could help paint by making handprints, and fundraising dinners where we invited alumni and representatives from other charities.
