“Quest for hobo treasure...”

Quantum and Woody are funny. Archer and Armstrong are funny. Quantum plus Woody plus Archer plus Armstrong? Action comedy gold.

Quantum and Woody are the world’s worst superhero team. Archer & Armstrong are a mismatched pair of conspiracy-busting adventurers. When a mysterious force collides these ill-suited and irresponsible “heroes” for a cross-country race through the darkest corners of American mythology, all hell is bound to break loose. Can two busted pairs become four of a kind in time to defeat the Hobo King, save the day, and make it back home in time for happy hour? Let’s hope so…’cause these guys make a really, really bad team. (And you don’t even want to know about the goat.)

This initial issue of the mini series leaves me feeling "meh" about it. While I enjoy Archer & Armstrong, they fall a bit short in this. And Quantum & Woody have a particular charm and wit about them which for me, is hard to get into. The muddled art in this also does little to enhance what is supposed to be a big quest story with a large helping of double humor. While a "Valiant" attempt, it feels like the book was rushed into production and thus does not have a finish and quality which almost every other Valiant book has about. Nice try guys, but it falls a bit short and leaves me only mildly interested in reading issue #2.more
excited to read issue four. great hilarious action!more
The funniest thing I've read all year. big fan of both series and this is the creme de la creme more
