No matter where your site is now, you can move it to WordPress.com. This page will help you choose a method to migrate your website to WordPress.com. If you know what kind of site you’d like to import, click the menu option to the right to jump to that section.
If you have a site with another WordPress host or a local development/staging WordPress site, you can move it to WordPress.com using one of these options.
Visit our guide for instructions on how to import an entire site, including its content, media, plugins, and theme:
- Use the Move to WordPress.com plugin (do not create a site on WordPress.com first.)
- Use the Import Everything option (create your WordPress.com site first.)
- Use a third-party migration plugin such as All-in-One WP Migration or Migrate Guru.
The above options require the purchase of a WordPress.com Business plan or higher so that plugins can be imported. For an option that can be used on any WordPress.com plan, including free sites, import the content only (pages, posts, and media.)
