Linux Administrator for a long-term consulting engagement.

Duties

  • Participate in the management of Linux integration with a master data management platform.
  • Manage core Linux Database, application, web and additional servers maintaining and updating all documentation.
  • Create and maintain the operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve problems involving complex system integration.

Skills/Experience

  • 8-10+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator in a complicated systems environment, who has demonstrated the capability to offer solutions using a wide range of technologies.
  • Expert level knownledge in Linux Red Hat.
  • Solid experience with Web Services, Apache, Java, Tomcat, Shell scripting, Perl, Python.
  • Experience with Clustering, Load Balancing, Scripting, Thread management, logs - Backups and Recovery.
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of Data Management & Master Data Management systems would be a plus.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Financial Services Experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an allied field.
