About the Position:
We are seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist to strengthen Lean culture, develop internal capability, and drive meaningful, sustainable improvements across manufacturing operations.
This role is ideal for a CI professional who enjoys teaching, coaching, and leading through influence, and who wants to see real results from their work in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement.
You will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and cross-functional leaders to embed Lean thinking, support daily management routines, and elevate problem-solving at all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the Kata coaching program, including coaching the coaches and establishing standard routines
Train leaders and teams on Kata, Lean principles, and CI tools
Coach daily management systems, audit LDMS and Kata boards, and reinforce PDCA thinking
Plan and deliver Lean and Operational Excellence training aligned with strategic objectives
Support and sustain 5S programs, including training, events, audits, and visual standards
Lead kaizen events and guide teams to implement and sustain improvements
Support kanban, pull systems, inventory control, supermarkets, and replenishment signals
Partner with Manufacturing and Process Engineering to advance flow, standard work, takt-based balancing, and layout improvements
Facilitate Value Stream Mapping (current and future state) and build actionable roadmaps
Drive cross-functional problem-solving, prioritization, and follow-through
Track, communicate, and celebrate CI progress, wins, and lessons learned
Reinforce change management, accountability, and Lean behaviors when implementation gets tough
Support and uphold Quality and EHS policies and practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent experience
3–5 years of hands-on Continuous Improvement / Lean experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
Demonstrated experience teaching, training, and coaching Lean concepts
Strong facilitation skills for kaizen events, VSM workshops, 5S events, and daily management routines
Working knowledge of kanban/pull systems, standard work, flow, visual management, PDCA/A3
