Are you a college student eager to gain hands-on experiencein planning, zoning, and community development?
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and development activities related to zoning, permitting, and land use projects across the city.
- Help organize and maintain project records, permits, and development documents to support ongoing city projects.
- Support research and special projects related to planning initiatives, community development, and municipal operations.
- Interact with residents, developers, and contractors, helping direct questions and provide information about planning and permitting processes.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Public Service, Business Administration, History, or a related field.
- Possess a sharp eye for detail and strong organizational skills that keep projects and permits moving forward.
- Comfortable navigating the Microsoft Office Suite to help organize data, documents, and project information.
- Previous experience as an intern or working in planning, development, government, or office administration is a plus.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Knowledge of Sunshine Law and retention schedules is preferred.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings.
