Senior Electrical Engineer - Mission Critical

Metric DCX are hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer – Design, supporting large-scale mission-critical projects across the U.S.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to act as a key technical authority within the organisation. This role is central to solving complex electrical engineering challenges, leading system-level design, and supporting the delivery of robust power infrastructure solutions across data centers, power plants, industrial facilities, and utility environments.

This is a hands-on, design-heavy role, responsible for delivering full electrical design packages, working directly with clients, and supporting project execution from concept through delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership & Authority – Lead design efforts and provide mentorship to junior engineers
• System Architecture & Design (LV & MV) – Power distribution, UPS, generator feeds, protection systems
• Engineering Oversight & Review – Review schematics, single-line diagrams, panel layouts, and equipment specifications
• Solution Development & Client Support – Work directly with clients on design concepts, troubleshooting, and technical presentations
• Problem Solving & Escalation – Resolve complex engineering challenges quickly and independently

What we're looking for:

• 10+ years of electrical / power infrastructure engineering experience (hands-on design focus)
• Deep expertise across medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) systems
• Experience delivering large-scale, mission-critical projects, such as data centers, hospitals, airports, industrial facilities, and power plants
• Proven ability to produce full design deliverables independently, including schematics, single-line diagrams, layouts, and specifications
• Strong knowledge of SEL relays and protection/coordination systems
• Comfortable working directly with clients and managing multiple concurrent projects
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (Texas or ability to obtain)
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or similar
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks a plus
