In a digital world, we talk often about connectivity being mission-critical – and I can’t think of a clearer example of this than the networks that connect our first responders. So it’s a proud moment for us all at BT Group as we announce that we will provide mobile services for Britain’s Emergency Services Network (ESN) as it moves from build through to delivery and operation. ESN is a national critical communications system to provide fast, safe and secure 4G for Britain’s frontline emergency services. It gives first responders priority EE connectivity at all times, so they can get immediate access to life-saving data, images and information in emergency situations – on the ground, in the air and wherever they need to operate. As a longstanding ESN partner, we will continue to build, maintain and develop critical mobile coverage and capabilities for ESN as it rolls out to support more than 300,000 users. It’s part of our unrivalled work to provide the UK’s critical connectivity infrastructure – with fixed and mobile networks that are trusted to underpin essential public services across the nation.
