Guess what - there is a new rubber-duck agent in Copilot CLI, and we are going to talk about it.

Rubber-ducking has always been about externalizing reasoning—but once the “duck” becomes an agent, the question shifts from clarity → control. If the agent can influence execution (not just reflection), where does the commit boundary sit? Most setups improve reasoning quality but still treat governance as post-process—so you get cleaner trajectories that can still cross into irreversible action without in-band stop authority. Curious whether this is staying purely reflective, or if you’re thinking about: → admissibility before execution → explicit stop-authority at the boundary → and rollback conditions as part of the agent loop Otherwise the duck doesn’t just debug the system—it quietly becomes part of its execution path.

Specificity is key when using rubber duck for research to prevent bottlenecks that cause output delays then....

In what types of more specific processes can we have a more effective use of this agent?
