metering is the hard part. anyone can spin up a gateway, but tracking usage without melting the db is where most fail. openmeter + kong simplifies the stack. long overdue.

Really interesting work. Usage based metering is one of those areas that sounds simple but becomes very complex at scale. Great to see innovation here.
