The Harm Reduction Journal is an open access, community-focused journal for research on reducing risks and harms associated with drug use, gambling, online platforms and other risky behaviors.

  • Challenges de-facto criminalization and stigmatization to promote evidence-based health equity and social justice.
  • Covers a broad range of public health issues: from drugs and alcohol, to incarceration, road trauma and law enforcement.
  • Welcomes research on different approaches to harm reduction programs and policy, as well as commentary on their effectiveness.
