Elliot Page (born Ellen Page, February 21, 1987)[1][2][3] is a Canadian actor. Page was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for his[a] role in Juno,[5] in which he played a pregnant teenager.

Page has also starred in movies including Hard Candy, Whip It, and Inception. He starred in the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy as Vanya/Viktor Hargreeves.[6] During his career, Page has been nominated for an Academy Award, three BAFTAS, two Emmys, a Golden Globe, and a SAG Award.

Personal life

Page is from Halifax, Nova Scotia.[7]

On February 14, 2014 (when living as Ellen), Page came out as a gay woman. Page became a well-known advocate of the LGBTQ community.[8]

In December 2020, Page came out as transgender and changed his name publicly to "Elliot Page." He uses "he/him" and "they/them" pronouns.

Page was married to dancer Emma Portner from 2018 to 2021.

In March 2021, Page became the first openly transgender man to appear on the cover of Time magazine.[9]
