I liked the "Don't stop at the gift shop". The four metaphorical stores pretty much said it all.

Good piece. Polankski confuses repentance with enlightenment. Regardless, even repentance does not erase the consequences of using the unwitting for personal pleasure. However the girl's life turned out, it was made different by his perversity. His defenders are co-conspirators.

Kudos to SBC Voices for their courage in running "Sex and the Church" on their blog at http://sbcvoices.com/sex-and-the-chur... Not many denominations would take this on.

This is the first time I have seen SIGNS OF A STRUGGLE, and I think it is an incredible mission/ministry. Not many people reach out like you do. (The fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual may change matters: there is a Hypersexual Disorder).

Sex and the Church

I don't think Jesus would be very patient with the "don't ask, don't tell" stance of today's church regarding the sexual brokenness of its members....

This is very moving and captures the essence of the Scripture very well. It made me want to pause and find the determination to be more helpful and responsive to those around me. Thanks!

I think God loves those who doubt. In dealing with our sincere doubt, He demonstrates the truth that He is patient and kind. It is a wonderful truth that the greatest doubters often become the greatest believers. Our honest doubts can become the bedrock of our faith. Truth that comes rampaging in to dispel doubt is sweet and strong.

To doubt is to wonder or question what we assume is truthful. All of us have the brain capacity to do this. Doubt can be a horrible thing, or it can work as our best defense mechanism. Good read!
