1yI am a real person, no I did not use an AI assistant. the previous post really answers it. encrypt+ransom, can be remedied with a snapshot recovery. Stealing data -- suggest you set up a google alert for "data breach" to confirm data stealing typically involves valid ID. and the financial reward is selling the data, rather than some sort of ransom
