How do I pay for my Whole Foods Market order in-store using Prime and Amazon credit card rewards points?
To use your rewards points at checkout, first open the Amazon Shopping app and tap "In-Store Code" under the search bar or use the Whole Foods Market app to find your code instantly. Under the QR code, select ‘Amazon Visa’, Amazon Store Card’, or ‘Amazon Secured Card’ as your payment method, if not already selected, and tap "Continue" to save changes. You'll see a toggle to enable points; turn it on to use points. You also have the option to adjust the amount of points you want to use by tapping "Edit amount." When using self-checkout, scan this code where you scan your groceries at any point during checkout. After you’re done scanning your purchase items, tap “Pay Now” on the register screen, then select “Pay with In-Store QR Code” to finish paying. In staffed lanes, simply show it to your cashier who will scan the code for you and will confirm if you want to use the payment method on file.

What is the In-Store Code?
The In-Store Code is a unique QR code generated by the Whole Foods Market or Amazon Shopping app. You can now pay with your In-Store Code in addition to activating your Prime savings at a Whole Foods Market store near you. The In-Store Code is connected to your Amazon Wallet. Any card that is in your Amazon Wallet can be used with the In-Store Code, however Prime and Amazon credit card rewards points can only be used with the Amazon Visa, Prime Visa, Amazon Store Card, Prime Store Card, Amazon Secured Card, or Amazon Prime Secured Card.
Where can I find the In-Store Code?
In the Amazon Shopping app, the In-Store Code can be accessed from the homepage under the search bar. If you have location services enabled, a pop-up with the In-Store Code option will also show up when you’re in or near a store. In the Whole Foods Market app, the In-Store Code opens up when you open the app and can be found anytime by tapping the “Home” button at the bottom of the screen if you’re on another screen.
Are screenshots supported with the In-Store Code?
Screenshots of the In-Store Code are not supported. Please access a live QR code by opening the Amazon Shopping app or Whole Foods Market app.
Can the In-store Code be accessed if I am not connected to the internet?
Yes, the In-Store Code can be accessed if you are not connected to the internet. If you had points enabled during your last visit, points will automatically apply when you scan the code. However, you will not be able to change your settings to enable or disable points while not connected to the internet.
Are there any additional fees to using Prime or Amazon credit card rewards points to pay for my Whole Foods Market order?
There are no additional fees associated with using rewards points to pay.
Is there a minimum number of rewards points I have to use to pay for my order?
There is no minimum amount of rewards points you are required to use.
Can I use rewards points for partial payment of my order?
Yes, you can choose how many rewards points to apply before paying. Click “Edit amount” under the toggle to choose how many rewards points you want to use before paying. Your choice will reset after you pay, and all available rewards points will be applied towards subsequent purchases. Any remainder that is not covered by your rewards points balance will be charged to the card associated with your rewards account.
What happens if my order total is more than the rewards points I have?
If your order total is more than the number of rewards points you have available, the card associated with the rewards points will be used to pay for the remainder of the order.
Can I earn rewards points while using points to pay?
You will not earn rewards for any portion of the order paid for with points, Whole Foods Market Gift Cards, or coupons. You will only earn rewards points for any amount of the purchase that is charged to your Prime Visa, Amazon Visa, Prime Store Card, or Prime Secured Card. The Amazon Store Card and the Amazon Secured Card do not earn rewards points.
Can I use other payment methods along with points?
At this time, you cannot use Amazon Gift Cards at Whole Foods Market. However, you can use Whole Foods Market Gift Cards and coupons to pay for your purchase along with points. If you’re using a Whole Foods Market Gift Card, first your points will be charged, then the Whole Foods Market Gift Card, followed by any remaining amount charged to the card associated with your rewards points.
Where can I see my available rewards points balance on the In-Store Code?
You will be able to see your available rewards points balance under the QR code. If you’re not able to see your rewards points balance, you still have the ability to apply any rewards points that may be available towards your purchase.
What happens if I need to return an item I paid for with points?
Purchases made with rewards points at Whole Foods Market follow the Whole Foods Market return policy. Partial order returns are refunded first to the card originally used, then to any Whole Foods Market Gift Card you may have used, followed by your rewards points balance. Participating Whole Foods Market stores will accept in-store payment with rewards points from the Amazon Visa, Prime Visa, Amazon Store Card, Prime Store Card, Amazon Secured Card, and Amazon Prime Secured Card through the In-Store Code, available on the Amazon Shopping app or the Whole Foods Market app. Rewards points can only be redeemed in-store at Whole Foods Market via the In-Store Code feature. Points cannot be redeemed for Grocery Pickup and Delivery and can only be redeemed in-store using the In-Store Code. The Amazon Store Card, Prime Store Card, Amazon Secured Card, and Amazon Prime Secured Card can only be used in store with the In-Store Code. You will not earn any % back for the amount you use in points. You will only earn % back on the amount charged to your card, based on the existing rewards rates at Whole Foods Market for your card. The Amazon Store Card and Amazon Secured Card do not earn rewards points. Coffee, juice, or liquor bars, and eateries present in-store at Whole Foods Market locations may not accept the In-Store Code for purchases. Restrictions and limitations apply.

You can use your points for all or part of a payment for the purchase of eligible items in-store at Whole Foods Market locations. If you don’t have enough points to pay for a purchase at Whole Foods Market, you can pay the additional cost with the card associated with your rewards points account or Whole Foods Market Gift Cards and coupons. Points will be deducted from your account immediately or on the same day once you complete your in-store purchase. If any of the products related to your original order are returned, subject to Whole Foods Market’s refund policy, you will receive a refund of the amount charged to your card first, followed by rewards points. If a refund of your rewards points cannot be processed by Chase or Synchrony Bank, Amazon will issue an Amazon Gift Card to you for an amount equal to the value of the rewards points used towards your purchase.
