Prior to founding ELEVATE, she was the founder and CEO of ZaZaZu, a pioneering corporate education platform aimed at empowering one million professional women to master challenges both at work and at home.
She also co-founded ASBO Drives Technology GmbH, which revolutionized agricultural practices in rural China by increasing crop yields and reducing vehicle downtime through advanced gearbox technology. This venture was successfully acquired by China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) in 2019.
In the male-dominated automotive industry, Jingjin made history as the only Asian, the only woman, and the only senior director under 35 to serve as Global Marketing Director at WABCO. There, she oversaw portfolios worth up to $800 million, achieved remarkable revenue growth of over $200 million, and generated $5 million in sales for ASBO Drives.

Jingjin Liu hat dies geteilt👊 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿‑𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿‑𝗦𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱. Early in my career in Germany, I was put into the company mentorship program. My mentor was the R&D director. He was senior in age and in rank, company wide respected, and completely irrelevant to my career. He was never in the meetings where my role, my pay, my progression were decided. In our sessions he told me to think about starting a family and to not “waste my youth” fighting for opportunities among engineers. That’s when I realised something I’ve built my whole career on: I did not need more advice from powerful men. I needed a powerful man willing to say my name when I wasn’t in the room. So I picked my sponsor. Our company had just hired a new CMO, Arvind – the first person of colour in the C‑suite in the company’s history. I decided: he is my person. I reached out to him. I showed him my work. And instead of asking “Can you mentor me?”, I asked: “I want to be in the conversation for the bigger roles. If you give me the chance to work on one of your cross‑functional projects and I’ll show you what I can do." For two years I executed on his projects like my career depended on it. Because it did. Then the Global Marketing Director role opened. Jingjin Liu hat dies geteiltShe woke up at 5:47am. Before her feet hit the floor, her mind was already somewhere else. The presentation.The permission slip she forgot to sign.The message she still hadn't replied to. The meeting that should have been an email. The school run. The performance review she needs to prepare for someone on her team. It wasn't even 6am and she was already behind. By 7am she'd made breakfast, packed two bags, joined a standup call from the kitchen, and mentally drafted the presentation she had to deliver at 11. By 9pm she'd finished the last meeting, cleaned up after dinner, helped with homework, and finally sat down. She opened her laptop, and stared at her LinkedIn profile, which is the same one she'd had since 2017. She knows she should update it. She knows it doesn't reflect who she is anymore. She knows opportunities are going to people who are less experienced but more visible online. But she has nothing left. Not tonight. So she closes the laptop. And tells herself: maybe this weekend. Here's what I want to tell her. You are already working two full-time jobs. The second shift, the 5 to 9 after the 9 to 5, the household labour, emotional labour, mental load. The invisible spreadsheet running in the background of your mind: who needs what, what's running out, who hasn't been called back, who needs to see the doctor. You are already the most efficient person in every room you walk into. You have to be because you have no choice. So the idea of spending hours studying LinkedIn algorithms, rewriting your profile from scratch, figuring out what to post and why nothing is working, it doesn't just feel hard, It feels like one more thing. And you are done with one more things. But here's what I've learned from my own career, and from watching hundreds of women like you: 🙎♀️ The ones who get the VP call out of nowhere. 🙎♀️ The ones who get the speaking invitation they never applied for. 🙎♀️ The ones who get the client inquiry from someone who "just found them online. .... They built the right foundation once and then let LinkedIn do the work. 👉 A headline that says exactly who they are and who they serve. 👉 An About section that makes the right person feel like they've found exactly who they were looking for. 👉 A profile that works while they're in meetings, while they're making dinner, while they're sleeping. They stopped being the one who searches. They became the one who gets found. LinkedIn should not be another job. A great profile is a system that works for you so you don't have to. Jingjin Liu hat dies geteiltI came to LinkedIn out of pure desperation. In 2020, I launched ZaZaZu what became the first sexual wellbeing hub in Asia – a safe place for women to talk about sexual health, reproductive health, and pleasure without shame. TikTok banned us. Facebook & Instagram shadow‑banned us. Anything that touched women’s bodies was pushed into the “porn” category, while ads for Viagra were accepted as “health”. I was angry at how women’s health was being handled online. So I opened LinkedIn & started to write. No funnel, no launch, just posts explaining why women deserve better, and what it feels like to build in a taboo space. At the same time, I was fundraising & noticed a pattern: male founders were asked, “How big can this get?” Female founders were asked, “How risky is this really?” So I wrote about that too – the double bind, the tone of the questions, the way “risk” sticks to women. Slowly, the quiet readers began to reveal themselves. 💰 A director from an Australian governmental organisation reached out & said, “We’re running online workshops for couples during COVID, could you help us talk about intimacy in a healthy way?” we have been working together since. 💰A pilot in Singapore wrote, “We’ve been following your work. Would you speak at our annual aviation conference?” That invitation became a keynote, which led to a gala dinner, and 2 more keynotes. 💰 Later, the owner of the biggest family office funds in Vietnam messaged me because he cared deeply about women’s empowerment in his company & wanted honest workshops for his teams. None of them had ever engaged with my posts. They had just…been watching. Five years & many imperfect posts later, here are three things LinkedIn has taught me: 1️⃣ The people who comment or follow you are not always the ones who hire you. Some of the most meaningful opportunities came from people who had never interacted publicly, but were reading quietly for months. 2️⃣ Opportunities arrive serendipitously, but only after you show up consistently. I didn’t “plan” for Australia, Vietnam, aviation, or board role conversations – they came because there was enough of my thinking visible for people to recognise themselves in it. 3️⃣ Women are taught to fear “showing off” or having strong views in public. But every statement that polarises people also separates your real allies from your "foe" & makes what you aim to achieve more targeted. If you’re at the beginning, staring at an empty profile, I want you to know: we all start at zero. You don’t need the perfect strategy to begin. You need one honest post that feels a little risky and the courage to write another one after that. Jingjin Liu hat dies geteiltI’m so tired of LinkedIn advice that puts women in a double bind. Post every day! No, not too much. Be personal! But not too personal. Comment more! But don’t look desperate. And most women think they need to play a content game when they haven’t even decided what game they’re in. I was speaking to a CEO we work with, she’s now looking at board roles. "Every coach tells me to post more, be more personal, tell stories, I don’t feel that comfortable about that.” She’s right. Because if you’re aiming for board positions, your LinkedIn is not there to make you relatable. It’s there to make you credible at that level. And those are not the same thing. Most people copy what works for someone else… without realizing that person is solving a completely different problem. 💰 A founder raising funds is not playing the same game as a senior leader going for promotion. 🩸 Someone rebuilding after a layoff is not playing the same game as someone trying to land board seats. But they’re all given the same advice. Post more. Be consistent. Tell your story. Before you touch LinkedIn, there are 3 things you need to get brutally clear on: 1️⃣ What is the outcome you actually want? Do you want investors? A promotion? Board roles? Clients? A new role after a reset? Each of these requires a different narrative. If you don’t define this, everything you do will feel scattered. 2️⃣ Who needs to say yes to you? Because they are the ones reading your profile. Investors look for asymmetric upside & conviction. Boards look for judgment, governance, & pattern recognition. Senior leadership looks for readiness and risk management. If your profile doesn’t speak their language, you’re invisible to them. No matter how often you post. 3️⃣ What do they need to believe about you in 30 seconds? Not your job title or responsibilities. The first impression.She can scale this. She understands risk. She operates at board level. Only after this do you think about content. Because content is not the strategy. It’s the output of a strategy. Meaning: 👉 If you’re a founder raising funds, your narrative is about opportunity & conviction. Why this problem matters now. Why this is the right moment. Why you are the one to build it. Your personal story only matters if it strengthens belief in the business. 👉 But the same founder who is speaking to clients, the narrative needs to be about outcomes. What results you’ve delivered. What problems you solve. Why you are the obvious choice. Jingjin Liu hat dies geteiltYour company runs better when you are hard to find... No one will say this publicly, so I’ll say it here. Most companies run on women who are invisible on purpose. Because they give you the perfect illusion of safety. It's the frog in warm water. You don't notice the temperature rising until your legs are too weak to jump. In our last "Hidden Talent to Visible Leade"r cohort, we have women who: • Hold entire APAC projects together, presenting to MDs and senior leadership. • Run global mentorship programmes that the C‑suite praises in townhalls. • Fix messes between departments that no one else can even name, let alone solve. Internally, they are “stars”, “rock solid”, “cannot lose her.” Externally on LinkedIn, they are “Senior Manager. 15 years experience. Responsible for stakeholder communication.” If you’re a company, this is just perfect. An invisible woman with enormous impact is a dream asset, they can keep telling her “we’re working on it” for another cycle, they don’t have to worry that another company will see her and offer 40% more. When a restructure comes, they can cut the “easily replaceable” visible ones first and keep her cleaning up the mess in the background. Her loyalty from the outside is actually lack of options. And this is where LinkedIn comes in. LinkedIn is not a "branding" tool, It is the only place a company’s story about you and your story about you ever meet in public. Right now, for most senior women, the gap is violent! I know the objections: • “I don’t want my boss to think I’m looking.” • “In my culture, posting feels like showing off.” • “I don’t want colleagues rolling their eyes.” All might be true but at the same time: • Restructures are happening without warning. • Hiring is happening in DMs and search bars before a job is ever posted. • AI is scanning profiles before a human ever sees your CV. Your fear of being visible is real, but the cost of staying invisible is why women are 44% of workers but only 31% of leaders, and why women with the same competence as men get 60% less LinkedIn reach. So Don't let your employer be the only one who benefits from your low profile. Jingjin Liu hat dies geteiltMing has spent most of her career doing what most women are taught to do: Don’t take up too much space. Don’t sound arrogant. Don’t talk too much about your wins. Don’t make people uncomfortable. In her role as Head of R&D, she led teams, she solved problems, she carried projects, she made other people look capable She kept everything moving. When I showed her LinkedIn profile to Spencer Stuart, it didn't even pass the intern, It was like reading an outdated CV in 1990. That is the trap so many professional women fall into. Wait for someone to notice. Wait for the room to open. Wait for permission. Wait for the right moment. But the market does not reward waiting & no one is coming to rescue your profile, no one is reading between the lines, no one will sponsor a woman they cannot easily understand. You can be excellent & still be invisible. You can be overqualified & still be overlooked. You can be doing the work & still lose the opportunity to someone who positions themselves better online. A lot of women were taught that “putting yourself out there” means bragging. But there is a difference between showing OFF and showing UP. Showing off says, look at me. Showing up says, here is what I solve, here is what I’ve built, and here is why it matters. The truths are: • If you stay hidden, you stay hard to find. • If you stay vague, you stay easy to ignore. • If you keep waiting, the waiting becomes your brand. • If your profile sounds like yesterday, people assume that is where you still are. • If you never make your work legible, you will keep handing your future to chance. So what should you do instead? and I don't mean “post more.” Start here: 1. Write your profile like someone is trying to choose you in 10 seconds For the person who is scanning, deciding, and moving on fast. 2. Don't describe duties, name impact. “Managed stakeholders” says almost nothing. 3. Use language that sounds like a woman who knows what she does. 4. Make your About section answer the real question. What do I step into? What changes because I’m there? Who should pay attention to me now? 5. Treat LinkedIn like a door, not a diary. It is not there to express every thought. It is there to make the right people understand why you matter. Because the truth is, prince charming is not coming... And neither is the magical recruiter, the perfectly intuitive hiring manager, or the sponsor who somehow just “gets” your value without you ever making it visible. Jingjin Liu hat dies geteiltYou can build a billion-dollar company. But if you’re a woman, the headline will still be about how many hours you spend with your kids. Emma Grede is a self-made entrepreneur builds a category-defining business, operates at scale, and shapes industries. Yet the headline that gets picked is how many hours she spends with her children. If that doesn’t tell you how we still see women in power, I don’t know what will. We don’t quite know what to do with women who hold power without minimizing it through something familiar. So we bring it back to motherhood. Something we feel entitled to evaluate. Something we think we understand. It’s like saying: yes, you can succeed… but we still need to check if you’re doing womanhood correctly. This doesn’t just live in headlines. It shows up in conversations, in WA groups, in judgments, in the way we look at each other and think, “I wouldn’t do it like that.” We’ve all absorbed this model. 💔 That there is a right way to be a mother. 💔 That ambition has a limit. 💔 That if you cross it, something else must be missing. Most women don’t consciously agree with this. But we still operate inside it. We edit, soften how much we want. We don’t say the real # of hours we work. We don’t say that sometimes, work feels expansive & motherhood feels… heavy. I’m writing this on a Sunday. My kids are playing with someone I trust. And I’m working. And even as I write this, I can feel it, not guilt, but awareness about how this might land, who might see me and think something about it. Women like Emma Grede don’t just get discussed. They get used as examples of what happens when you lean too far into ambition. As subtle warnings to everyone else watching. We don't stop women directly (that would be un-pc), but by making the cost of being visible, ambitious, aunapologetic… socially expensive. So women regulate themselves. And then we call it “choice.” That’s the part I struggle most with: 👉 Because yes, of course we all make choices, but we’re making them inside a model that constantly evaluates us through a completely different lens than men. If a man says he sees his kids 3 hours a day, we would give him a medal for being focused, while building. Now a woman says the same thing, we open a debate, not about her business but her values. So this isn’t about whether 3 hours is enough, the question is almost irrelevant. The real question is why did that become the headline in the first place? Why do we still need to anchor a woman’s success back to how well she performs at home? And more uncomfortably: In what small ways are we still participating in that model with each other? Because until that shifts, women won’t just be building businesses. We’ll be building them while constantly managing how acceptable our ambitions looks. Jingjin Liu hat dies geteilt👨 Most of the people who moved my career forward were older men. I say that with a lot of respect. Because they were the ones sitting closest to power. They were the ones who could make a call, open a door, or say my name in a room I wasn’t in yet. And that changed everything. Not my CV. Not another late night proving myself. ACCESS! That is what sponsorship does. If you’ve never had it, it’s hard to grasp its power 👉 You get pulled into conversations earlier. 👉 You’re seen as ready before you feel ready. 👉 Opportunities start coming toward you instead of you chasing them. Women are trained to perform, to deliver, to prove. But performance alone does not move you up without Access, and access is granted through people with power. The data reflects this gap. McKinsey’s Women in the Workplace shows only 31% of entry-level women have a sponsor, compared to 45% of men. Same capability. Different proximity to power. And sponsorship is not a fair system. It happens in small circles. Between people who already trust each other. In conversations that happen before the meeting even starts. So if you feel like you are doing everything right and still not moving, you’re likely operating without sponsorship. That realizatdion changed my career approach, from “How do I do more?” to “Who is willing to back me when it counts?” That is why we built 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸, a deliberate intervention into how power actually moves. Because mentorship gives advice. Sponsorship gives access. A mentor will guide you. A sponsor will use their reputation on you. Most women don’t lack advice. They lack access. Jingjin Liu hat dies geteilt𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵 #4: Spending 10 years being the most liked woman in the room and the least promoted. Nobody told Celine that likeability was a trap. They just kept rewarding her for it. 👀 Every time she softened her point so the room stayed comfortable she got called collaborative. 👀 Every time she gave away credit she got called a team player. 👀 Every time she stayed late fixing someone else's mistake she got called reliable. The feedback always glowing. The promotions always went to someone else. Because likeability is really not a leadership quality Just think about what happens when a woman stops being likeable. 😑 She pushes back in a meeting and gets called difficult. 😑 She claims credit and gets called arrogant. 😑 She stops volunteering for the invisible work and gets called not a team player. The punishment is immediate and social and it works. She learns. She goes back to being likeable. Here is the math Celine eventually did: 😁 10 years of likeability. ☠️ 0 promotions beyond Senior Manager. Her colleague Daniel who was frequently described as a bit too much, too aggressive, but very effective is now a VP earning 260k. Celine is earning 94k and has just been asked to organise the team offsite because she is so good at that kind of thing. The gap between a likeable woman and an effective one is not talent or years of experience, it is Visibility, that exists independent of whether people find you comfortable. Here is what that actually looks like in practice: 1️⃣ Say what you want to say Your first instinct is usually right. The version of your opinion you have after you have softened it twice for the audience is not your opinion anymore. 2️⃣ Don't say "don't you think we should" if you know "we must" You know the answer before you ask the question. Don't frame statements as questions so nobody feels challenged. They already know you know. The performance of not knowing only costs you! 3️⃣ Build your reputation where decisions actually happen. On LinkedIn. In industry conversations. In rooms two levels above your current one. Because likeability inside one building dies the day you leave it and you will leave it one way or another. Your LinkedIn is where you stop being likeable and start being known. 💪 Known for a specific point of view. 💪 Known for work that speaks without you having to soften it first. 💪 Known to people who have no history of rewarding you for making them comfortable. Jingjin Liu gefällt dasShe woke up at 5:47am. Before her feet hit the floor, her mind was already somewhere else. The presentation.The permission slip she forgot to sign.The message she still hadn't replied to. The meeting that should have been an email. The school run. The performance review she needs to prepare for someone on her team. It wasn't even 6am and she was already behind. By 7am she'd made breakfast, packed two bags, joined a standup call from the kitchen, and mentally drafted the presentation she had to deliver at 11. By 9pm she'd finished the last meeting, cleaned up after dinner, helped with homework, and finally sat down. She opened her laptop, and stared at her LinkedIn profile, which is the same one she'd had since 2017. She knows she should update it. She knows it doesn't reflect who she is anymore. She knows opportunities are going to people who are less experienced but more visible online. But she has nothing left. Not tonight. So she closes the laptop. And tells herself: maybe this weekend. Here's what I want to tell her. You are already working two full-time jobs. The second shift, the 5 to 9 after the 9 to 5, the household labour, emotional labour, mental load. The invisible spreadsheet running in the background of your mind: who needs what, what's running out, who hasn't been called back, who needs to see the doctor. You are already the most efficient person in every room you walk into. You have to be because you have no choice. So the idea of spending hours studying LinkedIn algorithms, rewriting your profile from scratch, figuring out what to post and why nothing is working, it doesn't just feel hard, It feels like one more thing. And you are done with one more things. But here's what I've learned from my own career, and from watching hundreds of women like you: 🙎♀️ The ones who get the VP call out of nowhere. 🙎♀️ The ones who get the speaking invitation they never applied for. 🙎♀️ The ones who get the client inquiry from someone who "just found them online. .... They built the right foundation once and then let LinkedIn do the work. 👉 A headline that says exactly who they are and who they serve. 👉 An About section that makes the right person feel like they've found exactly who they were looking for. 👉 A profile that works while they're in meetings, while they're making dinner, while they're sleeping. They stopped being the one who searches. They became the one who gets found. LinkedIn should not be another job. A great profile is a system that works for you so you don't have to.
