Smoke and flames from the Gifford wildfire dominate the night sky in the Garcia Wilderness, a 14,000-acre portion of the Los Padres National Forest near Pozo, California on August 12, 2025. The fire started on August 1, 2025 along Highway 166, west of Cuyama and has burned more than  130,000 acres.
