Accreditation Coordinator Certification
Enhancing the expertise of Accreditation Coordinators through a virtual certification program
Providing Accreditation Coordinators with the tools and knowledge to support them in their organization’s accreditation journey. Modules for Accreditation Coordinator Certification are offered through self-directed lessons, include supporting documentation and templates, and consist of knowledge checks to track progress and performance to further the organizational culture in meeting the highest standards of quality.
Introduction to Leadership Standards
Understand the pivotal role of leadership in the accreditation process
Participants will gain a better understanding of the key requirements for effective leadership, including planning and designing services, creating, and sustaining a caring culture, allocating resources, and building infrastructure, and monitoring and improving quality and safety. Then, we run a simulation of leadership discussion.
Introduction to Governance Standards
Foster a culture of excellence and client safety through effective governance practices
This interactive half-day session introduces members of health care governing bodies to the Qmentum Accreditation Process, and to the Governance Standards. Governing bodies will also examine their role in supporting quality in their organizations through exploring the Accountability for Quality Required Organizational Practice (ROP). Then, we run a simulation of a governance discussion.
People-Centred Care Program
Virtual and interactive certification program
The People-Centred Care Program (PCC) offers a deeper dive into the elements essential for quality PCC culture and practices such as structures, resources, accountability, and policies. Using the evidence drawn from the PCC-related literature, and the expertise of engagement practitioners and healthcare leaders, this program offers a conceptual framework for identifying and understanding the essential elements of quality PCC culture and practices in organizations.
Simulated Survey
On-site or virtual, 1-5 days, Customizable to your needs
Assess your practices against accreditation standards and prepare staff for the survey. Get real-time feedback from an Accreditation Canada Surveyor on what you’re doing right and where you can improve.
Using Tracers for Quality Improvement
Virtual capacity building session, 3 sessions – 2 to 3 hours each
Give staff the knowledge and confidence they need to assess against accreditation standards in-house. An Accreditation Canada Surveyor will show your staff a proven step-by-step approach to planning and conducting their own tracers.
Patient Surveyor Program
Integrating patients in the accreditation assessment processes to further apply the People Powered Health philosophy.
A patient surveyor is the voice of your patients during an accreditation assessment. Patient surveyors prioritize assessing the People-Centred Care related criteria in the standards and provide a unique patient perspective to the client organization.
