2026 Format Overview – A new era

We’re making a few formatting changes to the 2026 All Things Open conference. We’ve listened to our community, and we’re working diligently to implement what you’ve been asking for.

Check out the overall format below, and plan now to join us in Raleigh October 19 & 20 for year #14!

A Two-Day Event

The first change you’ll notice is our event dates will be October 19 (Monday) and October 20 (Tuesday). The three-day format of the past was good, but many told us “Three days is a big ask. Two days is much more manageable.” Sunday, October 18 will still serve as a move-in day for sponsors and our AV teams, but live programming will take place on Monday and Tuesday.

Monday, October 19

Monday will now feature co-located events and extended workshops. Our community has consistently told us they love co-located events, and they’ve consistently asked us for extended workshops to allow for deeper dives. In 2026, we’ll make both available.

Tuesday, October 20

Tuesday will remain a day of traditional conference programming, to include Keynote and Featured Talks, as well as 30-minute sessions across 20 tracks. More than 100 speakers and thought leaders will be featured on this day.
