Personality Description: Bodhi is very affectionate and forms strong bonds with his people. He enjoys being close to his family and is happiest when he is part of the household. He is generally calm and relaxed once settled, and often enjoys lounging nearby. He can become excited when greeting people and may jump initially, but settles fairly quickly. He does best with structure, consistency, and clear boundaries. Bodhi has had professional training and understands basic commands, though he can be selective with follow-through, especially with high-value items. He would likely thrive in a home with experienced dog owners who can continue reinforcing training and provide a predictable environment.

History: Bodhi has been part of our family since July 31, 2022. He is house trained and has participated in formal training, including multiple private sessions with a professional trainer. He generally does well with other dogs when introduced slowly and appropriately. He has a few neighborhood dogs he interacts with regularly and comfortably. Bodhi has been around children and has generally done well in the past. However, there was a recent incident in which he bit my young son on the face. While the injury was not severe, due to the seriousness and location of the bite, we do not feel it is safe for him to remain in a home with children. For this reason, we are seeking placement in an adult-only home. He has no known experience with cats. Bodhi also has a history of allergies and ear issues and is currently on medication for both allergies and anxiety. We are working with our veterinarian to manage these and better understand any potential impact on his behavior.

She prefers to graze and keep her bowl available throughout the day. She does not guard her food from the children in her home — they can touch her bowl without issue. With people who do not live in the home, she may try to herd them away from her bowl but has not shown aggression toward people over food. Her guarding behaviors are directed toward other animals, not humans. She has guarded food and water from the household cat. She may also guard higher value items like bones or treats. Toys have not been an issue that the owner has observed. Because of this, she would thrive most as an only pet or in a very experienced home that can properly manage feeding and high-value items. Pebbles does experience kennel anxiety and panics in a crate (has escaped/broken one). She should not be left unsupervised as she may chew or get into the garbage. She’ll need a patient home willing to work through her anxiety. There was one past bite incident involving a man who treated her poorly. It did not break skin. Since then, she can be cautious with men at first, but with respectful introductions she bonds deeply. History: Boris is a 6 month old, super sweet kitten that I have been fostering for the past 6 weeks and he is looking for his perfect forever home! He was a stray that appeared one day in my parking lot who, after a lot of treats and promises of warm beds & bottomless food bowls, decided to walk in the day before a big snow storm. Personality Description: June is an affectionate & playful dog. She loves every human she meets and her favorite spot is on a lap or cuddling with her favorite people. June loves walks and requires a medium amount of exercise/enrichment each day, but will spend the rest of her time relaxing on the couch. She is food motivated and has worked with a trainer on most basic commands (sit, stay, leave it, etc.) and leash walking, but occasionally pulls when excited. June is potty trained, very quiet (never barks), and is crate trained (used to staying in a crate 9am-5pm with a lunchtime walk a few days a week). She gets along with other dogs 95% of the time, but she has had two bite incidents, both involving smaller dogs (neither dog was seriously injured). We are looking to rehome June because a loud city environment doesn't seem the best fit for her. She would do best as the only pet in the home. Other favorite activities include playing tug, fetch, laying under blankets, and following her humans around the house.

History: June was originally found in Georgia, shortly after she gave birth to seven puppies. She and the puppies were surrendered to a shelter shortly after by the person who found them. June was later brought to an NYC rescue organization and spent a short time in a foster home before being adopted. She has since lived in Brooklyn with a married couple.

She also is pretty trainable and at points has been trained to high five or jump into her cat stroller, etc. She is good with children and is patient with other cats, although I am not sure about dogs. She is very clean and fastidious and I have never had issues with accidents or any problems related to using the litterbox. She is also a breeze at the vet.
