Truly personalized service through a Telehealth App

I've been using Galileo for about a year and a half, and they are absolutely the best telescope-health service I've ever found. Most telehealth doctors will offer quick virtual appointments for very basic services, but are unwilling to spend time on more complex needs. Galileo isn't like that at all, from migraine management, to completing required disability accommodation form from my school, providing medication travel documents when traveling out of the country. Very familiar with the limitations of telehealth I've experienced in the past, anytime I've reached out to them, hesitant, to ask "is this something you guys can do for me?" I've always found somebody friendly, kind and empathetic on the other end willing to help me make it happen. Genuinely appreciate everyone here! The one downside I would say is that sometimes They are a little backed up (compared to traditional in office appointments I would say they still do better, the wait is usually only a couple of days) however compared to other telehealth services if you need a more urgent care, they don't always have their ability to move it that speed. Which is understandable, popularity comes at it cost, but if (unlike me) you just have a 1 off occasional urgent care needs, as opposed to more PCP-type care or medication management, this may not be the best fit for your needs.
Love this app!!!

I get sick relatively easily and going to the doctor can be a hassle especially being a college student working multiple jobs. But it’s fear no more it no longer a hassle to speak to a doctor with this app! I can’t tell you how many times these doctors have really provided excellent medical advice for me when I’m sick or experiencing any sort of health issue. I had actually downloaded this app last year or so and throughly enjoyed the first free 6 month trial and was so sad when it ended because I couldn’t afford to subscribe at the time. But then a couple weeks ago I began having an allergic reaction to a prescription I received from an urgent care and I was really in a pinch because I didn’t know what was happening to me and really didn’t want to go to the ER. But then I remembered I still had this app and immediately subscribed and was provided with advice within a matter of a couple minutes after reaching out to them! They guided me through the necessary steps and provided excellent care for me in that situation and they always do in any situation. I always highly recommend this app to anyone and everyone and I’m highly appreciative that I even came across this app in the first place!
I love the doctors.

I am so happy using Galileo as my primary care provider. The doctors are attentive, Patient. They actually listened to you. And don’t just try and push medicines on you. They follow up with you. They check on you periodically still going okay. I have no complaints on it Comes to them and they’re practice. I had been seen. My Doctor for over 18 years and it wanted to do is give me more medicine, more medic everything, which just caused more problems because of side effects, and when I tried to bring that up, they would just tell me that it wasn’t the medication or that that was part of being able to keep my blood pressure controlled, and then I would have to deal with it. Since seeing the doctors that Galileo, I am finally realizing what a real physician that cares about the Healthcare they provide should be. I highly recommend it to anybody I have recently referred family members and friends. Who have all signed up with them, and are very happy with their results.
Has gone downhill

I used Galileo in 2021 to follow up on a long-standing diagnosis of acne vulgaris and it was a great system! I quickly had a video visit with a physician who evaluated me and refilled my existing prescription that had been prescribed to me by a fantastic dermatologist (who now practices about 2 hours away from me - too far!). In 2023, I renewed my Galileo subscription to request another refill on this same topical medication. This should’ve been simple, but I had a really weird experience. First, whoever I was texting with did not introduce themselves. Then, they needed to change my case from “medication management” (aka a refill) to “acne vulgaris.” Sure, ok. Then, the person I was texting with asked for photos of my face. They had still not introduced themselves - I wondered who exactly wants a photo of my face? It was really weird. I would’ve been happy to do a video visit, but I was uncomfortable at this point. I messaged customer service asking to cancel my subscription. Then, the texting provider magically introduces themselves and insinuates that I’m confused - and tells me that a video visit isn’t how Galileo works. If she looked in my chart, she’d see that I had one two years ago. This app was good, but I can’t recommend it now, especially for the price ($90 to text with a nurse practitioner). There are better, more elegant solutions out there.
