more Let me start off my saying I NEVER buy apps that are over $0.99. At first I thought I wasted ten dollars, but once I figured out the settings I was able to utilize this app exactly the way I wanted to. My husband and I share family iOS reminders and calendars, but I wanted something more comprehensive for subtasks, and mainly recurring events so I could check off habits throughout the day without having to uncheck a full list every morning. But I also didn’t want to disturb his process and make him download a new app. The other thing I wanted was a place where I could see my calendar events and tasks all in one place, and once I figured out that I could turn off “separate calendar events,” all my boxes were checked. The smart lists were a bonus, as I didn’t understand when I bought it just how customizable they were. I have smart lists for every vantage point that I normally had to manually search in the native iOS app, and I feel like even though there was a little learning curve, it’s going to save me so much time moving forward.
Developer Response Thanks for awesome feedback! :) One thing to point out is that you can long tap + button to choose an option to add calendar events. I'll do my best to improve the app with continuous updates. Visit GoodTask forum for more. Thanks!

syncs with native reminders, allowing me to do so much more than native reminders does - especially creating smart lists! I love that I can have a smart list that shows all work related tasks, or all personal to-dos, or just tasks with a certain project tag, or just tasks with a certain due date, or any task that I’ve tagged “@home”, etc.At the same time, the fact that goodtask is built on top of Reminders and syncs with the native Reminders means I can still just ask siri to “remind me” about something and it’ll show up in goodtask. Or I can share Reminders lists with my family or friends who use the Reminders app, the shared lists show up in goodtask for me but show up in ios Reminders app for them - so I don’t have to make others learn to use goodtask when all they need or want is a simple shared checklist.newest feature I like is the 3-column view on ipad, a bit reminiscent of a trello board and makes it easy to see a project of tasks divided by priority or what have you. This app does what I want, is frequently updated with fixes and new features, is less expensive than other to-do apps, is flexible to handle either complex filtering or subtasks or just simple lists when you need them, and has options to buy all features once, to support with a subscription, or to just support in single payments when you want. (Which means those of us with the means to support can opt in, and those who can’t afford an ongoing subscription are still able to access all features for a one-time payment.)

Like most of you who are taking the time to read this, I’ve spent a small fortune over the years buying every single todo app on the market. No, really... name one, any one, and I guarantee you I’ve bought it. Some of them are better at certain things than others, and that will always be the case, but GoodTask is the one that continually stands above them all for me. It’s one of those apps that constantly — and I do mean constantly — surprises me with extra features I had no idea it had. I’m still discovering amazing things, even after almost a year of using it every single day. I’ll often find myself wishing that it could do a particular thing, and to my surprise, an option to make that happen has existed all along... I just didn’t look deep enough. I spent almost 30 years developing software, and seriously, the level of detailed thought that this developer has put into how to make this app do things is off the charts. I’m very impressed!Five stars from me. I highly recommend this app to everyone!

GoodTask is an amazing adjunct to Apple’s Reminders. The capabilities the developer has managed in include are amazing, and the UI is spot-on, and it’s for this reason that I find myself using GoodTask often when I previously would have used a full blown Project Management system, and I have all the major players installed on my devices, and many of the minor ones... Capabilities in an app aren’t of much benefit if it requires 3, 4 or even more taps/swipes to get to them, so it’s a lot better to get something you need to remember into a system that you can rely on and know that by the time you get it entered, you won’t have forgotten the other stuff on your mind. This app’s support is also as good as you can get. Replies are not only prompt, but never like the “we don’t do it that way, and you don’t understand because you’re not as smart as we are” ones you frequently get when you make suggestions to the big players in the Task & Project Management apps space...

Better Tag Management
This update includes various improvements to tag management:
• Tags start with the # symbol and are case-sensitive.
• Separate handling of tags: Tags are now saved in the notes field as before, but they are managed separately in GoodTask. You can easily manage tags on a task. (In the notes field, as visible in the Reminders app, tags will appear on the last line separately. Other tags within the notes or title will remain visible but won’t be managed separately. Using the “Tags on Title” option will keep newly entered tags in the title, but these tags won’t be managed separately.)
• Separate line on task display: Tags are displayed on a separate line while viewing a list. You can customize how they appear via Settings > Appearance > Task Display. Options include:
• Separate line at the bottom
• Separate line on the right side
• Inline (at the original location)
• Hidden
• Tag management in the task detail view: Tap on tags or the tag button to manage tags directly within the task detail page.
• Quick tag management in the context menu: Right-click (or long-press) on a task in a list to access a context menu that lets you easily add or remove tags on existing tasks.
• Auto-complete for tags: When typing # while editing a task title, a pop-up window will appear, allowing you to quickly select from available tags.
• Automatic tag fetching: Under Settings > Sort > Tags, you can see the current tags automatically fetched. You can also reorder tags here, which affects sorting and quick actions.
Additional Tag Improvements:
• You can now customize the sort order under Sort options: Tag to prioritize tasks with “No Tags” at the top.
• A “No Tags” filter has been added to Smart List filters.
• Quick Actions:
• A “Tag” action can now be added after the “Clear Tag” action.
• The “Tag” action can be added multiple times.
• Mac-specific improvements:
• On the Tag Board, Option + drag will add a tag instead of switching tags.
• Tags are displayed separately above the notes field in the New Task window.
• Tag support has been added to Shortcut actions and the New Task URL scheme.
Other Improvements
• Subtasks now display properly with the NextCloud subtask system.
• Additional bug fixes and performance enhancements.
