Both The Independent and BuzzFeedUK have received nods in the Best Creative Solutions Led/Content Marketing Campaign. The Independent received a second nomination in the Best Publisher-led Social Good Initiative or Campaign for its World AIDS Day programme. The ambitious initiative combined in-depth journalism, advocacy and cultural engagement, built around the documentary Death Sentence: The real cost of Trump’s aid cuts on HIV by Chief International Correspondent Bel Trew. To mark Earth Day today, The Independent is supporting the charity WaterAid and its vital work bringing clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene to communities around the world. The Independent has donated £20,000 in advertising to help amplify WaterAid’s message and reach new audiences. This year, WaterAid launched its global maternal health campaign “Time to Deliver”, amplifying women’s voices around the world to demand clean water for every woman and in every birth. https://lnkd.in/eM7n7c49

The Independent today announces its return as the exclusive global news partner of the Montreux Jazz Festival for a fourth consecutive year, marking a milestone moment as the festival celebrates its 60th edition. This year's line up of guests include pop icons PinkPantheress, Zara Larsson, Tyla and Lewis Capaldi. Legendary names joining the programme include John Legend, Deep Purple, The Isley Brothers, Marcus Miller, Sting, James Taylor and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - with a special return for Charles Lloyd who performed at the festival's very first edition in 1967.
