Briana Inlow shared thisLooking forward to joining fellow #SocialImpact leaders at Engage for Good 2026 in Palm Springs next week! 🌴 Join me and Allison Bergen for a hands-on workshop where we’ll be ideating on the five key areas of opportunity for the future of volunteering: ✅ Culture & Connection ✅ Attraction & Retention ✅ Learning & Development ✅ Social Impact ✅ Business Innovation & Creativity The goal? To leave Palm Springs with more than just inspiration—but with actionable takeaways to bring back to your teams. See you in the desert! 🤝#EFG2026 #PurposeAtWorkBriana Inlow shared thisHow can we have a volunteering boom and a volunteering crisis simultaneously? Briana Inlow reposted thisBriana Inlow reposted thisIt's always a surprise to me when I hear people say, "Benevity does grants?" Yes! We've been in the corporate grants management space for over 10 years having managed more than $22 billion in grants alone. And... our grantmaking volume grew by 14% in 2025. 🚀 This week, Benevity announced some super cool grants-focused AI innovations for our clients and the nonprofits in our network: 👀 A new grant application management feature in the Benevity Causes Portal for nonprofits--this update closes the "visibility gap" for nonprofits by providing a single source of truth to see applications submitted via Benevity Grants Management. 📃 New AI-powered Grant Summaries incorporate generative AI to provide a structured overview of an application’s purpose, funding needs, and intended impact. This is not to replace decision-making, just to assist it! Research from Benevity Impact Labs shows that while 74% of organizations report using grantmaking best practices, only 51% believe they’re truly effective in applying them (see link to full report in comments). This gap got us putting pedal to the metal on developing solutions that streamline administration on both sides of the grant relationship to close this confidence gap. And, guess what? 30% of our grantmaking clients started using the AI-powered feature within a week of its release. Congrats to the teams helping to bring these ideas to life - keep it up, we still have a long ways to go to make grants management so much better for all! https://lnkd.in/gUCgAtjP #PurposeAtWork #CorporateSocialResponsibility #CSR #NonprofitsBenevity AI and Management Features for Global GrantmakingBenevity AI and Management Features for Global Grantmaking

Briana Inlow reacted on thisBriana Inlow reacted on thisGrateful doesn't quite capture it, but I'll start there ✨ Yesterday I had the opportunity to be interviewed by Michal Alter, CEO of Visit.org, for a podcast conversation I'll be thinking about for a long time. Michal asked the kinds of questions that push you to articulate what you actually believe, and I'm excited to see the final product. A few of the ideas that we talked about: Everyone has something to offer. I hear it constantly — "I'm in tech sales, I don't have the right experience to volunteer." But your core skills translate directly to what nonprofits need, and they need that expertise now more than ever. It's time to flip the power dynamic. Right now, CSR teams need to scramble when the finance team calls wanting an event next month. What if we could build the relationship with the nonprofit first, understood what they actually need, and then brought in the right people to help? The future of volunteering is a Human + AI story. AI can generate almost anything instantly, but those outputs can look polished and still lack real-world context. That's where people come in — human judgment is what turns AI from a tool into real impact. And for the first time, nonprofits have a chance to access technology and expertise at a scale they never could before. I also shared a story that's stayed with me for years: a nonprofit at a conference told the room they'd had the same fence painted three separate times because three different corporate groups wanted a volunteering activity. Everyone meant well. But if we're not starting with what communities actually need, we're not creating value, we're creating noise. Thank you, Michal, for the thoughtful questions and for the space to reflect. And thank you to the Visit.org team for the work you're doing to raise the bar for our entire field.

Briana Inlow liked thisBriana Inlow liked thisI joined @Okta this month to lead our Global Impact work. What I've learned so far is that AI is moving faster than our ability to protect society. That urgency is exactly why I'm here. I've seen firsthand how Okta's security commitment extends far beyond our products, and deep into the communities where we live and work. But, as AI reshapes our world, this commitment isn't just corporate responsibility—it's an urgent necessity. I'm proud to share that we released our 2026 Okta for Good Impact Report today. The numbers tell the story. $10.3M in cash and $54M in donated technology, with 91% employee participation. That's what commitment looks like in action. We're doubling down—mobilizing our full organizational capacity - products, people, philanthropy, and expertise - to build a more secure world where everyone can belong and thrive. I'm honored to lead this team. Take a look at the full report to see where we are heading next. https://lnkd.in/gbdjtZkJ #OktaForGood

Sustainability is no longer a “nice-to-have”, it’s becoming one of the smartest business investments companies can make. I’m excited to share my latest piece on Delphi’s Insights blog: “The Return on Investment of Sustainability.” For too long, sustainability has been viewed as a cost centre. But inside organizations, the conversation is shifting. CFOs, boards, and executive teams are increasingly asking a different question: What’s the financial return? This article digs into how that shift is happening, what’s changed at the company level, and why sustainability is now a discipline that drives efficiency, strengthens margins, reduces risk, and unlocks access to capital. The blog also includes real-world Canadian case studies that show exactly how those returns are being realized today. If you’re a business leader rethinking how sustainability fits into strategy and performance, you’ll find this framework helpful, especially the five practical steps companies can take to generate real ROI. Reach out to me to continue the discussion! Read the full article here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gCeG--zr #Sustainability #ESG #CorporateStrategy #BusinessPerformance #ClimateRisk

Presented in partnership with West Fraser, UN Global Compact Network Canada is hosting a hybrid event on 14 April 2026 that will bring together the research findings with practical insights for sustainability, ESG, operations and supply chain professionals looking to develop community-centered adaptation strategies. Jambo Stakeholder… • 4K followers
From Scattered Spreadsheets to a Centralized System: How Silvacom Transformed Its Stakeholder Engagement For decades, Silvacom has managed complex forest management plans involving Indigenous communities, government agencies, and environmental groups across Canada. But managing all that stakeholder data behind the scenes? That was a challenge. Stakeholder information was scattered across platforms and departments, creating silos, missed updates, and inefficiencies, not ideal when relationships and regulatory compliance are at stake. Silvacom knew the problem firsthand. And after years of running their own consultation projects, listening to what the market needed, and finding that no existing tool quite fit the bill, they decided to build the solution themselves. Jambo Stakeholder Relationship Management Software was developed, purpose-built for Stakeholder Relationship Management, with speed and simplicity at its core. Silvacom became one of its first users, gaining a centralized database, real-time team collaboration, issue tracking, and reports generated in seconds instead of hours. The results spoke for themselves. "I use Jambo every day. I don't know how we would run our public engagement and Indigenous consultation projects without Jambo." - Erik Peterson, Forest Resource Analyst, Silvacom What started as an internal fix has become a global platform trusted by governments, energy companies, and mining firms across North America and Europe. The best software is often born from solving your own hardest problem. If your team is juggling stakeholder information across emails, spreadsheets, and shared drives, the consequences are real: concerns from Indigenous communities go unaddressed, critical details go unrecorded, commitments go untracked, and by the time a report is due, no one is sure whose data is up to date. There's a better way to manage stakeholder relationships. Learn more about stakeholder management software in the comment section. You can also book a free 15-minute discovery call with our experts👇

We’re proud to launch the Right to Cool Report – a call for bold, systemic action on extreme heat in British Columbia. This report offers a rights-based framework for equitable climate resilience, grounded in the lived experiences of those most impacted by rising temperatures. Rather than relying on fragmented or incremental approaches, it outlines a holistic vision that integrates social, biomedical, and technological insights. Key policy recommendations focus on enforceable protections, justice-oriented planning, and inclusive design – because cooling should be a right, not a privilege. As 2025 comes to a close, at Re.Climate we’ve been reflecting back on a year of research and practice in Canada and what’s next in climate communications. We’ve just published a new blog post, What 2025 Taught Us About Climate Communications, which examines four gaps shaping today’s climate conversation—perception, information, emotion, and literacy—and what they mean for building durable public support in a changed policy, media, and political landscape. It also shares where we’ll be focusing in the year ahead, from adaptation and clean cities to misinformation, climate journalism, and narrative change. 🌟 As the year winds down and the holidays approach, we’re grateful for the conversations, collaboration and care that make this work possible. We look forward to continuing it together in the year ahead. https://lnkd.in/gRMqtYkW

Monika shared what’s giving her optimism in 2026, bursting through the doom & gloom of news headlines: 🌳 Indigenous leadership and knowledge are really starting to reshape the future of forests in Canada. 🌎 Climate resilience is becoming more of a talking point compared to when she started in the sustainability field 20 years ago. ❎ Canada’s anti-greenwashing legislation is so significant because people are finally saying, “We want to see the proof of sustainable actions.” 🔗 Link in comments for the full Q&A, plus other news — like the #TOCW 2026 calendar is now LIVE, and it’s not too late to become a sponsor!

As attention grows around nature finance, development finance institutions are increasingly seeking to integrate biodiversity into investment decisions. FinDev Canada partnered with The Biodiversity Consultancy Ltd to strengthen its approach to nature and build the foundations for tracking and scaling nature positive finance. Through peer benchmarking, analysis of leading frameworks, and a roadmap for practical implementation, the project provided clear guidance on how to advance nature finance in line with FinDev Canada’s mandate and operational realities. Alongside this, organisation-wide learning sessions helped build internal awareness and leadership alignment around nature finance opportunities. In a world facing fragmentation, Canada’s PM Mark Carney recently highlighted at Davos that sustainable progress depends on inclusive, community-led approaches. He emphasized that all communities must be empowered to participate fully, fostering pluralism and equality in practice—not just in principle. It is in this context that the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and Aga Khan Foundation Canada 🇨🇦 have presented a summary of 40+ years of partnership with Canada—highlighting investments, beneficiaries, and decades of development work. (See X-Tweet and AKDN piece below ) The AKDN central goal of development remains empowerment: building local capacity so communities can define their own needs, design their own programmes, manage their funding, and take full ownership of progress & outcomes. This includes social, educational, and economic initiatives that benefit both the Ismaili community and their wider neighbouring communities After four decades, the question remains: Which communities has AKDN genuinely empowered to be self-managed, self-reliant, and are truly leading their own development? Similarly, #pluralism cannot be measured by institutions alone. It must be taught, lived, practiced, and embedded in daily community life. Without this, pluralism remains an aspiration rather than a reality. https://lnkd.in/dqGAu_nN

Covering Climate Now • 3K followers
🇨🇦 Hi, Canada colleagues! Extreme weather impacts are no longer a distant headline. It’s a personal and economic matter, it’s affecting every community in the world, and every journalist should be prepared to cover it. Over the past year, we’ve worked with hundreds of journalists and meteorologists across the US, helping them strengthen their local climate change coverage, and now we’re bringing that work to Canada. The Climate Newsroom Canada is a free, Zoom training program designed for local journalists, editors, and meteorologists working in print, digital, radio, TV, and social media. 💻 In three Zoom sessions, we’ll get you the resources, practical tools, and story ideas to help you: - Report how extreme weather events affect local and family economies - Discern whether an event can be attributed to climate change - Explain the human toll of extreme weather - Produce climate journalism for every platform 🔺 This program is especially relevant for general assignment reporters and early-mid career journalists, but all are welcome: producers, reporters, editors, meteorologists, photographers and multimedia journalists with or without experience covering climate. If this sounds helpful for you or anyone among your colleagues, apply and spread the word. 📆 We’ll be reviewing applications through Friday, March 13, and we’ll start the next week. 💡 We hope to see you soon and connect you with other colleagues with the same interests! https://lnkd.in/ePavRzcw
